This mod adds a Level Of Detail (LOD) system to Minecraft.
What does that mean?
It lets you see farther without turning your game into a slide show.

Q: Forge, Fabric, or Neo? A: Both Forge and Fabric in the same jar for 1.20.4 and below. Both Neo and Fabric in the same jar for 1.20.6. Q: Shaders? A: Yes, but only for certain shaders. Q: Multiplayer? A: Yes, but client-side only, so you have to explore to load LODs. Q: What Minecraft versions? A: 1.16.5, 1.17.1, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.4, 1.20.6 Q: Does this work with world gen and custom dimension mods? A: Yes Q: Can you port this to Bedrock? A: No, due to limitations of the Bedrock API and because it is written in a different language (C++ vs Java). Q: Can you add support for shader X? A: No, support for specific shaders has to be added on the shader dev's side, it can't be added from DH's side. Q: Does DH work with Nvidium? A: Yes

i was never comfortable modding games, but this... This is something else. It took me a while to get working but once it did, oh boy! There's some visual glitches here and there but in general its beyond fantastic. Can't wait to see how far this can be improved

I'm very happy to hear this. I've definitely experience what I'd call a memory leak issue running this while in the nether, I assume because it's all cave essentially so there's more to process and render at a time. But sadly the frame drops persisted even after leaving so I had to restart and remove it from the mod folder while I'm doing construction in the nether. I look forward to seeing this improve over time! Thank you so much for your hard work
