This reminds me of my childhood when I would be awoken in the middle of the night by the train whistle but I didn’t mind. It was such a comforting sound and I felt safe and snug under the covers. Thank you for this bit of nostalgia.

I can't tell you how wonderful this is. During winter I would throw all the covers off me in my bed when I heard distant train sounds, then when I was shivering too much, I would just throw them back on and have the best rest ever!!

I thought I was a but strange for loving train sounds like this so much more when it's cold! I have my window open just a bit and it's in the 40s and lower at night! I used to live in a direct line into Manhattan and miss the trains so much! They're so comforting and relaxing!

I live in a geographically remote area in Northern California, and distant train sounds were a normal part of my childhood. The trains stopped running here in the 1980s, so this video brings back that comforting sound of my childhood. Once again, tucked into bed, with family (all now passed on) safely sleeping all around me. ♥️

Where I live, a train track is right by the river. Every night of every summer, I’d always hear this in the far distance and crickets, frogs and sounds of nature at night. This is truly the sound of peace.

I’m a long haul trucker. I listen to this to help sleep. I used a blue tooth speaker and it sounded like everything, train and bugs, were in the bunk with me.😅. But I slept good

I can't explain how much I love this. I grew up in Southern Missouri, and we didn't live far from the train tracks. I loved having my windows open or to be sitting outside with my momma whils listening to the trains go by. Or my favorite, were the midnight trains that went by and I would lay awake listening to the train until it was gone. My summer and spring nights sounded just like this and finding this video made me miss home 🏡 I live in California now and this gives me a little bit of home to listen to when I need it most.❤

This night train whistles more than 3 times! It always seems to me that it will happen! I'm in this train on the tracks, I hear the choir of cicadas, grasshoppers, crickets, the caress of the wind touches me. Sumptuous shades of midnight blue, deep green! Optimal sound quality. Perfect marriage between the resonance of the life of the train which traces its route and the song of the small beasts of the fields, I even feel some air of the atmosphere! A splendor which rests the gaze, which becomes tenderness for the heart, balm for the soul! So relaxing and so soothing too! The train sound reminds me of when I was a kid..we lived a couple blocks from the station and while our neighbors and my family found it disruptive, it soothed me to sleep with a sense of security ..still..to this day 😀

Omg this was my childhood…when I would be asleep I would hear a train and I would open my eyes and listen to the calming train snuggling with my parents at night(I didn’t sleep in my room I was too scared to sleep by myself)even when I go use the restroom at night and hear it, this brings so many happy memories. My grandparents lived by a railroad. When I’d stay with them I’d sleep on the top bunk on the bunk bed of the kids room and listen to the trains go by. I knew that if three went by i had stayed up past my bedtime and needed to sleep. My grandparents town was lost to forest fires a few years back and I will forever cherish the memories I had from my childhood there.

I’m 16 years old and I got my license about a week ago (after a few attempts 😭) and the realization of me aging is scary. A video like this really helps me think about the past and how far I’ve come as a young man. I know I’m only a kid but growing older in a world like this is scary, how can I, later in life, bring children into a society like this? Anyways. Reminds me of when I spent the night at my grandmas. I would be in the living room watching tv and hearing the train. Id sleep next to her on her bed as the train was making its noises. I miss it, I miss my grandma. I don't have much memories of her since she passed when I was still very young. This sound is one of the few memories I have. Miss you grandma and love you very mucb 💕
