I really like this idea of this actually. As for masochist, your option is either opponent is literal baby or bricking. Opponent Normal Summon SE Ash? Scoop Reinoheart? Scoop Ponix? Scoop D Lotus? Scoop SS Unicorn / Diabel? Scoop This leads to either heavy scoop fiesta. Whereas this Maxx C masochist can stand a chance, more.

it would've a smart move to use full power decks at each rank up game, if you win, you can return the staple copy you lost, and if you lose you lose nothing

How do you have a full powered deck by the time you get to rank up? It's better if instead of having a full powered deck in the back, you'd be better off saving the handtraps for rank up games/last couple of games

VS is already a bad deck. chat knows if he doesn't have a way to Razen the deck just fucking folds to anything. so getting rid of the searchers also just kills other decks that could have used them.

I understand your frustration. I played a 60 card earth pile and Maxx C was the bane of my existence. I finally got fed up enough I now play floowandereeze.

The thing is: by taking the time to min/max a deck with no staples... You are building a super strong core engine to add staples to... This is exactly how new broken strategies are found. Sincerely, the #1300 world ranked Magic player.

Its actually astounding how much Master Duel could be and could have been improved simply by removing Maxx C. 3-9 slots of our deck being freed up is game changing enough but not having to deal with Maxx C in the first place is the life

If you ever do this kind of challenge again it could be interesting if in each rank you can choose 1 card that cannot be banned, but the card has to change after each rank. But gets fully banned after the rank

I play like a duel a day to get dailies and make new decks but im chilling in like Gold most of the time. Sometimes I feel like laddering but then i watch shit like this and realize the daily life is the way to go

Just a thought but it looks like all your monster stealing cards are still available. Change of heart, crack down, snatch steal, enemy controller etc looks like all those are still legal for you as far as some staples go. Just a thought . I'm rooting for you coder!

after watching branded for so long I honestly think the best way to kill the deck is to just ban High Spirits. that card alone helps the deck play around Ash of branded fusion since it does simply too much for the deck. puts a fusion in GY to get interruption for your turn, gets what ever piece they need or want from the Albaz lore and makes people believe branded can play through several interruptions when this is the biggest choke point of the deck now with branded fusion to 1. without it they struggle getting branded fusion to GY to add it with Retribution.

Limiting or even banning Albaz is more reliable in that regard. I've gotten away with playing just one High Spirits for the longest time since its other effect makes it infinitely reusable, and multiple copies increases the chance of not seeing a monster to dump off of it with all the Spells and Traps Branded plays(especially in 60 card builds where Variance gives a higher chance of seeing too many non-monsters). You're not seeing it THAT often in 60 card piles that missing it is costing you games. While Albaz at 1 made trying to play a Branded Pile in the last Limit 1 event EXTREMELY annoying since only the original Albaz can be dumped from deck with Fusion or returned from Banishment with Lubellion as Albaz. The funniest part is that this doesn't even affect hybrid decks that can use Muddy Mudragon in the field or the Fusion replacements in the hand or GY to make their plays, only "Pure" Fusion Branded gets affected by hitting Albaz, which might be why they never bothered.

Something Coder says I really jive with. As much as I want to be a yugi-boomer and be all like, "the problem of this game- combo whatever," but the true problem is just generic stuff. Good universal cards that can be slotted into every deck possible. Oddly enough, I do think most decks can contest with top tiers. I've been playing a Ghostrick 60 card control deck and it beats a lot of the popular decks, unless they get the generic staples. It's so discouraging sometimes.

one of the main things that makes the top decks so good is how much generic they can throw in, more so than the engine they run.

@@charnor2727 Yeah. I know the situation isn't as black and white but decks like Yubel and Snake-Eyes aren't usually running any negates, period. It's pretty common to just face multiple of these decks and not have a single negate on their board. These two top tiers do allow you to play the game at a fairly healthy pace, BUT they run Ash, Nib, Apollousa, Maxx C, Drawl, Called By, Crossout, Imperm, SP, and so on. I never feel like I lost to Yubel or Snake-Eyes, but rather the copious amount of generic stuff they use.

Is Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries worth it? It gets some big extradeck cards banned over time, but it's a handtrap that rips out key pieces....

I feel theres still hope You have a lot of decent Handtraps still Crow, Droll, Bystials, Ogre, Belle, Mourner, Nib, Skull Meister etc Not the best probably usable at least Deck wise Idk if you wanna play them But you absolutely have very powerful/playable decks available to you Yubel, Snake Eye, Branded, Rescue Ace, Fire King, Voiceless, Purrely, Tear, Floo, Horus Stun, Salamangreat, Strikers, Thunder Dragon, Generaider, Traptrix, True Draco, Majespecter, Live Twin, Naturia, Plant Link, Dragon Link etc Theyre basically all unhit Not counting Handtraps of course, thats not engine

Because floodgates generally mean have the out or don’t play at all. A combo deck can sometimes to be played through and negates can be baited.

@@sdjgfujds idk i have chance to play thru 2 floodgates but not vs 10 negates.... its the same shit but u just waste time playing half of ur deck ....both are toxic but 1 of them pretend to be better... u would have better chance to win vs my flood gate with 1 or 2 imperm istead vs my yubel or manadium. i have matches where i set full field even after 3 negates from the enemy...

I disagree. I think Brandon is one of the more balanced decks of this modern era. Honestly, it could do some crazy things, but it's very susceptible and easily shut down by the most generic cards call by maxi ash gamma or if you hard go first and make an impressive board, you just simply stop everything Branded attempts to fusion if they don't hard open brand fusion or super polymerization.
