I think this is a good video in terms of raising questions. But to find out what really happens in the eyeball or how we make up these pictures in our brain or why we can't slowly look the other finger without a moving object in between, this video doesen't answer anything. It is far too shallow, please add more depth. And the adds are plased badly as other comments already stated. Good start though.

Can you record a television screen so we can see the flicker rates. I always wanted to see the flickers of a television screen because they are too fast for the naked eye to see.

Eye focus can be increased you need to drop your blood flow rate, lower your heart rate. Then you can do it I've tried it taking cold showers.

Something that seriously angers me a lot is when I'm in the car, moving, and I try to look at a fixed point, while not blurring my vision, and then sort of drag that point along with me as I move, and I find it impossible. My eyes just want to skip from one point to another, and won't fluently move in focus. That's what I came here to say.

You have a lot of interesting vids here and I would sub this channel if you guys can come up with a better format for your commercials, for instance, one that allows me to skip the advertisement entirely by placing it at the end of your videos. I can't tolerate that kind of annoying advertising, especially in the middle of an engaging subject, it really kills the entire feeling of enjoyment from learning.

They jump to keep the image sharp. Birds do that while walking by keeping their head still at certain points along the way and then skipping to the next point (mostly at every step). When they stand still, they move their head very quickly - same principle as man's eyes :D

I can do the smooth move from one finger to another. everything in the background has to stay out of focus and you have to create an imaginary focal point in the foreground about the same distance as your finger but it can be done... i did it compulsively first time.

I can move my eyes smoothly without anything to follow. You just need to learn how to control the muscles independently of what you are doing, then just move it with less force to make them go slower. Same works for the rest of the muscles. A little hack for the cerebellum.

it's not a smooth transition. It will always be steps like every 5 centimeter. And in between those steps your brain does not process what you see, or else you would see a blur.

The advertising is annoying, would have subbed otherwise. You need to make money for a living, sure. But forcing me to watch a 90 seconds advertisement beforehand, then again from 0:30 to 0:40 and 3:05 to 3:38.
