@@DistortionsUnlimited i learn alot from watching your Channel. I live in Indonesia. I'm a Mask maker since 2017. Not much of a Latex Mask Maker here. Because sometimes its hard to find the stuff to make a latex mask. For years I watching your Channel and learn A lot. Its really a fun job. Even if my Neighbor thinks im Nuts. With all the Scary mask I made and Sell in my home. My mask freightened their children. You and jordu are my inspiration.

It took me a moment to understand the purpose of rub-out. However, once I did get it, I realized it was the same as drybrushing. I paint my weird with black, first. Then, I drybrush my flesh color, which gives me the shadows, and detailing. I don't make large items, for the most part, so it's the technique that works for me. However, this video (like all of your videos) was highly informative, and incredibly entertaining. Thank you for what you do.

Hi Ed, I made that three part paint for my Batman 89 latex armor. I really like the result of it when I tested it on a latex piece. The shine of it is perfect, it looks like foam latex just like the movie. However, it tend to loose his shine when I pass my fingers on. Should I reduce latex in the recipe ? Should I seal my painted latex after ? If yes, what would you suggest ? Thank you very much !

What brush can you use to apply latex paint? I tried yesterday and it almost immediately dried in the bristles.
@TheHairyBeastie
@TheHairyBeastie 4 жыл бұрын
Damping the bristles first helps. If it clumps up stop and change brush or pick them out with a pin before re starting, If you don't they will just cause the paint you just put on to stick to them and clump up worse - also let it dry between coats. Cheap disposable chip brushes will work to get on your base layers and dry brushing. Latex kills brushes so don't spend too much if you intend to use them with this paint. (hope this helps)

If you brush paint with latex, I don’t think you can wash it out.
@uzazil
@uzazil 4 жыл бұрын
Here's what you do. First rub the brush in your palm to get all the loose bristles out. Then soak the bristles in 50/50 dawn dish soap and water for 5 minutes. Make sure you get a good soak. Wipe off the brush thoroughly on the brim of the container and then pat well with a damp paper towel. The goal is to dry but keep the soap in the bristles just enough for when you rinse. Let it air dry completely. When you paint your base wipe off the latex and run under a slop sink or slop bucket. Then repeat the process until the bristles are all gummed up. I've done 18 masks on one brush with this method. Good luck!
