He's probably seen patients owners in the after effects of shock. Poor lady probably couldn't even pick up on what she was doing. You can see she's got a glazed look n is swaying slightly. @@morganc.m1830 it's generally a thing that older people do. I've had friends of my parents and grandma do that to me. She also didn't look like she really knew what she was doing. She was in shock and with that much adrenaline coursing through you, you act without knowing it. To then get that news that the dog is fine is overwhelming because in shock, your mind races to think of all the worst case scenarios. To feel that relief, I think she was one step away from tackling him and kissing all over him because she felt so much gratitude but in her state, didn't realise that that wasn't really acceptable. But I don't know this lady, this is just what I imagine is most likely to be happening based on my experience with these types of emotions and situations. For all we know, she could've just lost her last family member and the dog is all she had left.

Poor Garfield! he had to suffer because of the staffie's owner! If a dog Is even the slightest bit aggressive then muzzle it in public. If your dog is in heat keep it locked up and then get her fixed. Help control the pet population. Get your pet spayed or neutered. It does not hurt their temperament one bit. And In some cases it can improve their temperament.
@Shaayne
@Shaayne 4 жыл бұрын
That it doesn't hurt their temperament is bullshit. Let's say you castrate a fearful male dog, it can actually make him much more fearful and if he wasn't fear aggressive yet it is a high risk he turns out that way. Do NOT castrate a fearful dog before you've gotten the fear trained out of the dog, no matter what the fear comes from. That bit of testosterone you take away takes away the tiny bit of self-confidence the dog has. Tons of studies on this. I agree pets that aren't for breeding should be spayed/neutered, but it's not always the case straight away.

Garfield's mom the doctor told her she couldn't go in the back she went in the back anyway so disrespectful on her part I totally understand that she's scared to death over her sweet Garfield but the doctor asked her to wait in the room but she didn't care what he said at all and I'm sure everyone in the comments are going to make me out to be the bad guy because of the comment I just wroteand I'm not trying to be the bad guy understand where she's coming from I have two wonderful Chihuahuas there my life but if the doctor would have asked me to stay in the room I would have stayed in the room he knows what he's doing but I also understand her point of you she scared to death as I would be Garfield I hope you feel better sweet boy 💙❤️

@@aprilgosa5779 I don't think she was all there mentally. She acted the same both times we saw her so I think that she is just an older lady, living out her life with her companion dog. The vide I get is that she doesn't really have anyone else other than her doggie. I know with 100% certainty that if my pet could be dying, I wouldn't let the out of my sight for even a second.

Yes, Dr. Chris is incredible with all the animals he treats. As for Garfield's owner. I personally thinks she's nuts and needs to be ever so gently told to NOT touch others. She was waaaaay out of line with both of the vets!!!

You guys make me smile. I love your humour and what you do. I'd love to work with you. In the UK, K9 units are considered full police officers. So, at least here, you were treating an officer of the law. An assault on a K9, or so I am told, carries the same penalties as assaulting a human officer.

Bondi vet videos always cheer me up. Especially right now I need it. My corn snake, Ouroboros, has passed away four days ago... Nothing the vet could have done, unfortunately. It was too late for my love, but seeing you help all those animals is comforting. :)

My dog was blind and diabetic. I worked with her every day training her the ‘go round’ command. In the end I could let her run in the park, actually run. If I called ‘go round’ she would veer around trees and other objects. It gave her so much confidence, she appeared to not really miss her sight. My vet said he’d never seen a blind dog adjust so well.

If that had happened to my service dog, I would have lost my mind. But I’m also fully aware that I’d be a hindrance to the vets if I tried to helicopter them, especially because I’d be inconsolable. The best thing an owner can do for their animals is trust the vets and stand back and let them work.
