I’ve been binging you guys for like 3 days! 😂 Nikki did such a good job with the bandeau top! Especially for a first-timer. Sustainable fashion is so important!!! I’m an on-again, off-again fashion designer (depending on if I have time for a side hustle) in Indiana, and I love seeing stuff like this, guys! I’m getting back into reselling (I never really got very good at it my first time around, lol) for extra income but also to learn online sales better to be able to get back into design. If you guys are ever looking for handmade items to sell, please keep me in mind! Also, there’s actually an abundance of independent designers in the Midwest.

After distressing the shirts change their size. How you set the size of them on your listing? What size will be the cute top your companion made?
@cayleyelaine3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we usually determine sizing based on measurements and include measurements in photos. I'd say it's probably a 1X. But would have to do measurements.

Thank you. I always get confused when someone asks me " does this top fits to size" or "I'm.... size will it fit me?". If the top is not My size how can I answer these questions? 😂 Rarely the buyer reads the measurements. 😊 Thanks for the video too. 💖

I like to crop & add a few bleach splatters with a fine spray spray bottle to shirts. It doesn’t take much time at all. I don’t get all crazy with bleach, I just spray a few times on each side then let sit out in the sun for a bit.

I wanna start distressing my tees out so bad definitely need a new pair of scissors
@saraosgood7053 жыл бұрын
Girl.... buy a rotary cutter, cutting mat and a ruler. They come in kits for pretty cheap. It’ll make it so much easier....... get a size mat that will fit inside of a shirt.

We talked about doing that, but we don't distress very often.

Another awesome video! Been awhile, but wanted mostly to say hey and hope things are well. Love the homemade shirt. That was rad. Quick question. Does it matter much if you use scissors, razor blade or utility blade when doing the distressed holes/wolverine marks? Blades would seem easier cause it looked semi difficult in the video slicing with scissors. ❤

Hey!! Things are going well. Thanks for asking! I think it depends on the technique. I actually had more difficulty using a blade for straight lines vs scissors. Someone suggested a rotary cutter, which I think would work best. I don't do it often enough to buy special tools for it, so I tough it out with scissors. 😊

@@cayleyelaine a rotary cutter would make a very precise line, though, which may not be the best for this technique anyway. The rough edges seem to look better on a lot of these tees, imo. 🫶
