District Deep Dive: The Covey

WELCOME BACK TO DISTRICT DEEP DIVE! I know the immediate question here is, "what on EARTH took you so long, and where is District 11?" Answers are attached below:
1) District 11 is geared up for editing and will be uploaded within the next three videos!
2) A combination of issues - some in my control, some not. Copyright was among the largest, but over the course of this year, I've had to handle the bulk of my audio files corrupting while being in an environment where they could not be easily or swiftly replaced. Regardless, I deeply apologize for the delay and will be organizing a giveaway of the entire THG boxset to compensate! Please know this series is fully written - and will likely be fully up within the month.

Another note: while not being from one district, the covey display a fierce sense of loyalty with their family, which is a very culturally Appalachian ideal to hold. It always comes with a catch though, like “we are loyal to you until the end. unless you get too big for your britches and start thinking you’re better than us” you can see this in the way they treat Billy Taupe. He started getting too big for his britches and they dropped him.

Love how Lucy Gray had what I consider the perfect winner. Yes snow cheated so the snakes wouldn’t kill her and she was erased from history but if you look at the way Lucy gray won the games it was by entertaining the capital viewers by singing and putting on a performance it forever changing how the games to a performance to entertain like a tv show or musical, not a battle to the death but a popularity contest
