I live in Pg county, right next door to dc and they tried to carjack me while doing Uber eats back in November 2023. Ptsd is crazy, haven't worked in months. I've been back out since the incident, but the vibe outside is just not it right now to leave your car just anywhere. Tow companies are predators as well. The corruption is contagious atp

Everyone in a government position is more worried about their job than the death of a young doctor. I agree with the sister that they need more cameras around the Whitehouse area to keep it safe. Nobody should be ran over with no concern for the person, and leaving them there to die is so cruel. He was running to help others and his car was stolen by someone else who ran over him and crushed his skull. Dear God please help this family to find peace and healing ❤️‍🩹 from this terrible tragedy that should have never happened! Thank you God for hearing our prayers, and we’re all holding our hands together in prayer for the family to be able to heal from this devastating loss. What a fascinating story in a sad way! A few things to think about: - Murders happen almost every day in DC - Muriel Bowser is not clumsy. She knows exactly what she is saying. A very successful politician. - DC needs a civics course in “DC culture” to anyone moving into the district. - ironic that doctors in dc saving gunshot victims daily know that patient may be the killer or a killer - this is the way it has always been in dc - dc is exactly how people in local power want it to be - violence is relative to the culture - the real outrage will occur when DC culture changes and it has the crime rate of NYC. Why? Because that’ll mean the current dc politicians will have lost their jobs. - So, keep your sneakers clean, hair done, get a plate of food. I’ll see you at the bbq this summer. Everything else is secondary. It’s in god’s hands, I hear.

The Loved ones of Dr. Patel deserve closure and to have the person who did it brought to justice. Unfortunately they way things are in the Dc and surrounding areas .. the person may still be out there but he may also be deceased. There are lots of other violent crimes going on. Now... is there someone else who may know ... of course. Time will tell. I do hope that those who know the details that it sits heavy on them and they come forward. It sounds as if Dr. Patel was on the path to be an amazing doctor in a field that truly needed those who have a passion to serve in the medical field. Mayor Bowser really needs to be sat down and spoken to about how this family feels concerning her comments. I don't think she was being malicious but it was insensitive. The response from her office by the deputy mayor was also cold and general. Such a shame that humanity and character is decreasing these days.

The DC Police know how to greatly reduce carjacking but refuse to do it. They could run sophisticated "bait car" operations in the high crime areas. Think LAPD SIS except for anti-carjacking. If the carjackers knew that at any time they could violently lose their life then they would be less likely to commit such crimes.

Not necessarily true, they don't get the chance to refuse to do it. The elected DEMOCRAT mayor, and council won't allow them to. I know many of them and they'd like to. Heck, they aren't even allowed to pursue these suspects. They are regularly told to cease pursuing. And, if another agency in the city is in pursuit, (ie Capitol PD, US Park PD) they are told DO NOT GET INVOLVED. A rule put in place by the mayor and council. Keep voting the same way and you deserve it DC.

What an incredible & amazing doctor, Life is so unfair, he had so much to give to the world, my prayer is that these lowlifes will be caught and have their day in God’s court, unbelievable that they are still out there walking the streets after taking a life like that in such a inhumane , callous and cold blooded way, a beautiful family and such an horrific loss, this world is not our home, Jesus come quickly!
