Fax! I ever since I switched from the sticks to mnk… I will say that once I got my dpi and sens down it was wayyyyyyy easier. I will say that at first people on the sticks at close range def scared me but after some time isn’t an issue anymore. All in all, immediate upgrades across the board minus the close range until you get used to it(plus mnk movement is nasty I love it)

I've tried MnK a few times, but probably just need to stick with it. It's true that the aiming and recoil is so much smoother and on point. Flicking is way easier. What kills me is the movement. The first times I tried MnK I was literally walking away trying to "run" from an enemy or get to cover. I suppose it's because I've played very few PC games MnK, in fact I usually just plug in my controller.

I’ve played with a controller my whole life and recently got to play on my nephew’s computer last thanksgiving. I can assure you I wasn’t magically turned into a great player but I could feel the potential. I noticed I was getting the hang of it pretty fast before I had to turn it off and spend time with family. I was learning the pattern of the weapons recoil unlike anyway I could with a controller. The movement aspect is allot harder than it looks but I could actually beam with most of the weapons.

We disagree on the tap strafe on roller / cfg thing, but at the end of the day I’ve always found your content mostly to be good quality and just want to say I give massive props to learning MnK. The only thing I’d say to keep in mind with a lot of your points is that you have always been a talented player, above avg on roller with good understanding of game mechanics and a sound mind for micro in fights. At the low - mid skill tier the difference between inputs is far more glaring. Yes they can both suck but there’s a consistency aspect to roller. Anyways great content District keep up the hard work

@xythiera7255 it's aim assist, not aim bot. I've played both. It's extremely difficult to beam someone from 100m away with a flatline on control even with aim assist. Aim assist only really helps the most with close range fights. Yet I've only played a little M&K and can easily beam players from 100m away with a flatline... And yes I did get salty because I baught a gaming PC just to play Apex with a roller and also have/learn all the crazy movement. And 4 months later they take it away... So now me and my friends are stuck on just staying on M&K because it isn't as hard as we thought or going back to console because we've played controller for 24 years...

I think that's why they keep broken movement in Apex because 1) it's fun and 2) it does help tremendously when you actually use it in fights. Aiming with a MnK is easier than controller as a beginner and it’s easy to get decent aim. Aiming at a high level on MnK is much more difficult to reach that level of tracking and flicks compared to a controller on apex.

i spent 2months learning mnk 100% just for tapstrafing n movement oddly enough my aim was way better than on controller and the hardest part for me was moving with wasd instead of an analog stick this is why i eventually gave up i suck at typing + this is my first mnk game so i forget buttons and being pressured in fights would make me hit all the wrong keys ive been playing apex on roller since season 9, tapstrafing on roller since 12 relearning and repracticing just feels like a bigass drag especially when its season 21 and every other player is so good by now theres also somethin super aggravating about dieing to mofos just neo strafing over your body

I think people are missing the point about "MnK is way better for me because my thumbs are bad". If you genuinely have arthritis or get wrist pain and limited/slow movements of course its going to be better. But I feel like people are just strawmanning it as "See guys MnK is definitely stronger because X person said it, stop complaining about controller players!". I dont like console players because they have a ping advantage most the time, but you are clearly able to tell when someone is winning a fight because of aim assist which is annoying, and it definitely looks way different from a skilled controller player where you know YOU lost the fight. I played CS 1.6 decades ago on MNK, then the Halo Seires and Titanfall on controller. I spent the last couples years on linear with back paddles practicing recoil smoothing and recoil patterns in the firing range, practicing controller movement, doing warmup drills like Genburten... And then I hope on MNK agaun for fun and I fucking beam people with ARs and LMGs, in the firing range its not even close, the micro adjustments you can make you can make mid-spray to recoil and tracking are infinitely easier than you can with yout thumb. When these pros are crying on stream about how a new player with aim assist can one clip them its pure copium. You can't one clip someone as a new player in this game unless they're in the open and you don't know how to strafe. Fuck man the worst was when Mande tried to say that when he tried controller his aim assist was overriding his thumb inputs and tracking a target even though he was pulling in the opposite direction, these guys are delusional or playing a different game.

Ive always wanted to learn mnk for apex but ive pretty much grown up on controller and playing on mnk just makes me angry because i just doe in a sutuation, when i know i wouldn't have on controller

Just gotta stay with it. But perosnaly and tbh it's not always worth it on controller I can get master/pred ez in pc lobby but plat on mnk idk why people think it's so much better if your good on controller stay if your silver-plat on controller switch to mnk it might help. again personal opinion cause I could literally beam 300m on controller but still got trouble 1.5h in on mnk fucking hate my controller been broken

I'm the same, I can't use mnk cus I'm on console, I hate controller I have 15k hours & still suck at aiming

Idk why MnK act like the game is the easiest thing in the world on roller. They get crazy high fps, super steady ping, ability to move cursor precisely, strafing, turning 180 with a flick of a wrist, a button for every function and ability to move around while looting a death box. While all roller gets is aim assist that even a toddler can track movement better than.

It's mainly because the advantages such as flicks, death box looting do not out weigh the CONSISTENCY that roller has. You can have 3000 hours on aiming on mnk and someone on roller with half those hours can do just as good aim wise, also the other advantages mnk has such as movement has the same issue. Spend 3000 hours learning it, get destroyed by someone with 1500 hours of aiming

@@ibrune8371 I've seen videos of youtubers saying that for mid - long distance fighting Roller's have a slight marginal advantage but close combat gg MnK got it all day bc aim assist don't track the whack movement that well. I admit tho i have not hit close range consistency yet on Roller I just started playing Apex a year and a half ago almost and am Plat at the moment, hoping to hit Diamond this season.

@@1kingrod1 I believe they have it flipped. While roller may not be able to completely track neo strafing, my friend who is pred on roller says just to wait for the to walk into your crosshair when doing it. Also mnk do have the advantage when long distance as roller has no aim assist from that range and it's easier to control recoil on mnk
