I discovered Disturbed about a year ago because of Sound of Silence. My child was shocked that her mother was an instant fan. If Disturbed ever come to Ireland - well, I am partially-sighted, I do not like travelling or staying away from home or really loud music - but I'd be there, my 'phone will be on silent and, when loud stuff is played I'll have ear plugs so I can hear it without being blown out of the place. As one man said "A great song is a great song". I wonder how many of their fans, like me, are of an older generation who have discovered great music? "More than one flavour" - definitely.

@@Raven_of_Doom they are a nue metal band.. Apparently you haven't listened to prayer from around the same era, to express one's anger is not demonic. Did he or any of the members commit murder? No. You basing your claim off of that is ridiculous. As for spirituality.. Spirituality goes beyond the individual experience and is and always has been a practice to become one with a higher self. Seems like they are achieving that.. I've been listening to Disturbed for almost 10 years, since I was in middle school, and I feel that what David said around the 17:25 mark perfectly describes it, perhaps I feel the flow between lyrics and music sometimes doesn't sound that good to me, but its been the message that they convey in each and every single one of their songs that's kept me a fan for so long. I might be one of the few, but I think this album perhaps if not great already, is the beginning to something great and I cannot thank them enough for being about the message and what feels right.

I like Disturbed's new album. But it's not my favorite. They keep saying that this is the heaviest sounding album they've made. This new album may be heavier in terms of topic, or even emotionally heavier for them, but the sound is far from heavy, especially by Disturbed standards. not trying to hate on the album, it sounds great, I think its cool that the band is exploring a new sound, but it just wouldn't be my first pick if I were asked which album is my favorite. That spot is reserved for Indestructible. The title track on that album kind of talked me out of doing something that I wouldn't have lived long enough to regret. So needless to say, that album has and always will be my favorite.

I know people are saying this isn't the heaviest stuff and it's not like the old disturbed, but they said in the interview that they were going for a different sound. Now I totally agree that ther heavy sound is better, but I still love this album. No album will ever be like The Sickness or Believe again, but Disturbed is still one of my favorite bands. I love when bands try a new sound and it still works for them. Also, that's why evolution is the perfect name for the album because there sound evolved into different sounds instead of just this hard and heavy stuff and I really respect that

I just wish it was longer, an evolution it was indeed but a few more out of this world heavy songs wouldn’t have hurt. Looking back I really related with the themes on indestructible and asylum and I wish more of that came through on this one. The thematic messages here were great don’t get me wrong but I just wish for 2-3 more songs similar to that era. I hate to be that guy reminiscing of the ‘good old days’ but that’s the disturbed I grew up on and it helped me with my parents separation, repeated broken relationships, etc so no matter what they put out I will probably not have that same passion for it again because of how personal it all was.

I hear this band making a fortune around the fact they we are all going through it. But where is the answers to our afflictions. As helpful as it is for many to know that we are not alone, I haven't heard anything in the music that points us to the answer for our sorrows. Where is the author? where is the true creator? Where is the Lord? Or should we just listen to your music and get angry ????
