I still get goosebumps every time I hear David's voice. "The Sound of Silence" is a wonderful showcase for David's voice and the beautifully talented musicians.

I have been a music teacher for 25 years. The vocal on Sound of Silence is one of the best and most expressive examples of excellence I’ve ever heard. The dynamic, energetic, and inspirational build of this vocal is second to none! Absolutely badass!!!! This band is awesome and David is an unbelievable inspiration to a world in need of love and acceptance! ❤

If it wasn't for "The Sound of Silence", I would never have discovered any of the other fantastic music from Disturbed. I've always loved rock 'n roll (think classic rock) but would never have listened to metal. I'm an "older" person...what can I say--just didn't really interest me. Disturbed opened up a whole new world of music and I'm thankful. I especially love "Hold Onto Memories"; first heard it around the time of my brother passing away and it meant so much to me--still does! Thanks to Disturbed and David Draiman--it's much appreciated.

I love David's explanation of how ridiculous incivility and divisiveness has become. This album represents that message spectacularly. Disturbed are uniquely capable of drawing attention to this societal problem while simultaneously blowing us away musically! Thanks guys!

Been listening since 2000 brother. Appreciation for your band, music, spirit and voice goes beyond words. Sound of Silence has to be one of the greatest covers of all time. Taking something like that and making it your own and becoming more legendary for it.. hell yeah 🤘 Totally dig sticking with just your own material. No need for a cover every album 🔥

How unpleasant it is to hear words of support for ukraine and the designation of Russia as an aggressor, although, after 10 months of the special operation, it was already possible to understand the situation and understand that the main reason for the start of the special operation was ukrainian aggression against the residents of Donbass and the encouragement of ukrainian Nazism. Why didn't he come out in support of the civilians of Donbass when they were killed by the ukrainian military for 8 years? Why didn't he condemn the ukrainians?

man, it’s simple. he probably didn’t even know. hell, i’m just learning about this now

Nobody knew because it didn't existed... you talk about "aggression against the residents of Donbass" when it was actually Ukraine resisting a foreign attempt of insurrection on its soil.

Nobody knows and believes in it in the Western society. Trust me...

@SpecialistBR nobody is right on this issue. Special operation is a war. A war! And it shouldn't have been started. But maybe there was no other way.. it is all too complicated. And there are definitely some things behind it that we don't know about...

Dear David, Maybe you'll see this, maybe you won't...But just in case you do, I have to tell you that I am JUST NOW FINDING YOU! I know, right? My oldest son listened to your music therefore, I knew it wasn't anything I would be into. Smart-ass old people. Anyway, I started doing Music reactions last March and reacted, after MANY requests to your version (NOT A COVER!) of Sound of Silence. I couldn't possibly say anything that hasn't been said before, but to be redundant, OMG. It was your vocals, that put me in a stupor, plain & simple. I feel ashamed that I didn't listen before! After my reaction the video soon shot to the top, having the most views of all of my reactions! So, after a little nudging by the viewers, I decided to do "Down with the Sickness". OMG AGAIN! I honestly was laughing at myself and at the idea that I had totally missed out on so much! (Down with the Sickness is currently blocked- but I suspect it will be up within 48 hours, hopefully) So, THE REAL REASON FOR THIS MESSAGE! I was doing my Live stream on Monday, and someone suggested I react to "Hold on to Memories"...David, you shook me. BROKE ME. I literally cried. Maybe it's "Ageism" the getting older shit that happens to us all, IDK, on Thursday (Thanksgiving) I literally made everyone sit down after dinner and watch/listen to it together. It brought SHOCK, TEARS, and HAPPINESS. I felt like EVERYONE HAD TO HEAR IT! I am honestly not a heavy metal person in general, but I have a renewed interest in keeping an open mind, where I wouldn't have before. So, for that I want to Thank you. I now have people requesting a lot of your other music and I am looking forward to reacting to it, more than I can tell you. "Hold on to Memories" is one for the books thought, at least for me. I am looking to do your song with Ann Wilson next, but at the moment all I see is the audio version. So, I may wait until there is a Live to react to. Again, at 56, I thought I had heard it all. Knew it all. The most important thing I have learned this past year is that I don't know shit! lol. I have found INSANE Musicians and Vocalists from all over the world. It's good to know that we can still learn something new, and be shocked, happily at any age if we are open to it. Cheers, Jennifer- The Speak Easy Lounge. Thank you to MoreCore.TV for allowing my comment.

Why do you even pose such a question? Rather silly! it’s a brilliant cover of beautiful song which is played and sung magnificently by Distrubed & David Draiman. This cover has touched millions & millions of people. Bravo!
