Kind of a reverse. I had an interview for a marketing director position (actual marketing director, not sales) for a computer repair shop October 2019. The HR person interviewing me was nice enough, but the owner of the company was a smug, arrogant jackass. After the interview, I decided to look into the company’s online footprint. Turns out there were tons of negative reviews from Yelp, Facebook, Google, etc. Everything from blaming customers for the issues post repair to estimated completion dates being unreasonably far out. Explained a lot: the owner had too much pride to acknowledge his mistakes, and that was just a part of his narcissism.

I used to have a facebook page that was private, but my boss would still find out about things I would get up to or comments I would make. Never about work (don't bite the hands that feed you), but it got extremely frustrating. Turned out one of my so-called "work mates" and so called "friends" on facebook was ratting me out to my line manager. My line manager was a complete control freak, who would even try to control your personal life was basically hinting to give up facebook as a solution to my woes (his solution was the only solution, you could negotiate and discuss, but ultimately you would be lead to that "solution). As I had numerous friends from around the country and world this was no option to me, so I came up with one better. I put up a big post about security on facebook and how it seemed information on my page was being leaked to 3rd parties, so as a result all my current work colleagues unfortunately were being de-friended and blocked from my page. I informed my line manager of my move, he was not happy...but I won, and found that one colleague in particular became very frosty towards me after chopping them. Even more satisfying was plonking my resignation on his desk 3 weeks later, having already secured another job, and chewing them and the place out in my exit interview. Better still, they got "cockblocked" when they tried to re-contact my new boss.

I'm curious if the Daughter in The Swinger party photo was a minor or 18+? That would make a massive difference.

Wouldn't wanna work any where shit like this is allowed. Like if they can do the job give them the job. Starting to think shit like this is why ppl are tired of trying to fit into this box most companies want you to. I get it but also think the association isn't necessary but in the same breath think that's why most are tired of social media. It's not seen separately from the actual person anymore. They are one in the same

This is why I rarely post anything personal or political unless it's a positive thing, like a nice meal or an event I enjoyed (posted after the fact). I also don't have all of my accounts linked. And my phone number is not on them.

if i ever am in a position to hire anyone you can be sure you had better be massively overqualified/overeducated, kind, entertaining, and/or hard working for me to ever consider you for even the lowest, least important positions or tasks if you have a facebook account. of course those qualities are the antithesis of the typical facebook user. there are execptions, of course, but they are few and far in between. im meam f!cking hell most of them cant even grammar goodly
