He'd made his peace with God in the weeks prior and had a phone call to his mother to tell her goodbye. He then went around laughing and joking about what he'd done even though he had in reality been judged sane and fit to stand trial and expressed remorse. It was his intention to get himself murdered as a suicide by proxy.

George was unjustly executed for taking part in the Haymarket riot, which he did not and it was later revealed it was set up by the Chicago Police. Friedrich Engels is a communist theorist who helped many countries have healthcare, housing, and education programs as well as better working conditions, fair wages, and improved labor laws.
