And that poor lady didn't deserve so many of the terrible things that happened in her life, neither the death penalty. She's been wronged in so many ways her whole life, that she just simply had enough and decided to get justice for herself because no one else seemed to ever do. Her rage was understandable and justified. Perhaps it doesn't make it right for her to take vengeance into her hands, but even courts do this in society for justice as well. So this "justice" system is actually a bit hypocritical. Nowhere even in the New Testament does it say to execute anyone. There are killers who deserve to be unalived, but she wasn't one of them. There's a great movie about her that people should watch called "Monster".
@Capnsensible802 ай бұрын
@@HowlingMoonCinemas One can empathize with her, but that doesn't justify what she did. There's also no proof that all, or any, of those men were actually rapists afaik, just her word that they tried to. It's definitely possible that she just decided to take out her frustrations with her shit hand in life on whatever men she could, and just deluded herself into thinking (or used false rationalization in an attempt to convince others) that she was justified. Regardless, what she did was still criminal vigilantism at best, cold blooded and predatory murder at worst. She was not justified in doing what she did.

Far left wing beliefs. They think keeping anyone locked up for life is "unethical" and "inhumane", acting like the concept of moral responsibility is "oppressive" or "fascistic" or whatever. The far left seeks the inversion of all cultural norms and traditions. The criminal is championed, the policeman is vilified. Like, sure, the justice system has a ton of flaws, and police brutality and corruption are issues we need to keep an eye on for sure, but these nutcases take it so far they use slogans like "Abolish the police!" and "Abolish the prison system!" I'm not talking about your average Democrat so much as your average Antifa member, the type of person that calls the Democratic Party "far right" because they don't fully embrace Marxism. But these beliefs seep into the mainstream left in a watered-down form, so they do end up getting laws passed that ban life sentences, which the left has succeeded in doing in most Spanish-speaking countries.

"A life for a life" think about it. someone takes a life, then someone is imprisoned for life or killed in response, then someone takes revenge for that and then there's an avenging of the revenger's revenge. etc. etc. etc. The Nordic and Gaelic people had a system for this, i won't go in-depth but it involved blood feuds and blood money, i don't know if you know what i know so i'm going to elaborate a small bit. Blood feuds were wars between families bloodlines, blood money is what was paid by one family to another depending on injury and loss of life. That system didn't work, it evolved from "a life for a life" which was "if you murderize one family member of ours we can do it to one of yours" whcih then opened the gate to basically a murder-chain. The blood money system replaced it and still didn't correct it. So ya gotta think contextually, a life for a life doesn't work. although I wholly agree that certain people need not be amongst us. She said she needed the death penalty and that sye wouod most definitely keep killing if she ever got out. Saying she killed the first guy in "self defense" because she "claimed" he raped her, pisses me off. He did rape her and she did kill him in self defense. She was greatly neglected in her youth, by her Mother, her Mom's pimps and John's, and by the system. She suffered from Mental Health issues. She wasn't just a cold blooded killer who did it for fun. You do understand she can believe that because of mental illness, but the reality is she was just killing people who she saw had more money on them, it was almost all opportunistic. The first murder yes, was most likely in self defense, but the others were not excusable. She was broke from blowing her money on drugs and continued to kill people to take their money. She shouldn’t have been executed because she blatantly suffered from paranoid schizophrenia on top of other mental health issues, but she absolutely deserved to be sitting in prison. Countless people survive horrific childhoods and do not make the choice to murder. She did.

Why was Aileen Wuornos killed so quickly after her sentence when there have been men on death row for DECADES?? The world HAD turned on her. Was killing those guys right? Hell no but her rapid execution was shocking! There are HUNDREDS OF MEN on death rows all across our country. Why was she killed so quickly is my question. She was NOT represented very well AT ALL! She should have been given a life sentence and NOT BE MURDERED. Her story is such a tragic one. No i don't think people with horrific childhoods should be granted favor, but.... it sure should be taken into consideration. Life as a child WAS. A LIFE SENTENCE! She'd be paying her dues since the day she was born. Read her story and see for yourself if she got what she deserved.
@loridiaz96012 ай бұрын
Did you not look this up before commenting ? The time has nothing to do with the fact that she is a woman, her 1st appeal (1996) was denied ( because you are aware she confessed killing the last 6 men) In 2001 she petitioned the Florida supreme court that she wanted to dismiss her council n terminate all pending appeals n that she killed those men in cold blood , she didnt want to continue crawling thru the system and that she would kill again if released. She asked to have the execution. So if you are wondering why it happened quickly is because she stopped all appeals
