One thing I will say: Liminal spaces don't scare me when they're grungy or dirty. It's the pristine images that scare me the most. When there's dirt, wear, dust, etc. on a building you know for sure it's abandoned and has been for a long time. When everything is clean, bright, and regulated, though.. It's like there SHOULD be someone there. There has to be someone... Or something.. Maintaining it. Either that, or everyone else left in a hurry very recently... Which begs the question.. Why?
@maisakalboneh2861

That's what makes it even more disturbing, because when you see some place that seems like it has life in it, but you seem to only find yourself alone, gives a disturbing feeling that you might not be alone.

For those who weren't aware (including myself prior to this), William Paul Jones was sentenced to life in prison without parole on July 27, 2022. May he rot there for the rest of his days and whatever follows after them. RIP Christopher Neal
@danielbrown001

At least he got life with no parole. He honestly should have gotten the death penalty. That second phone call where he proclaimed Christopher dead BEFORE killing him showed clear intent. That was murder, plain and simple.

@RampageRalph
@RampageRalph Ай бұрын
@@starfieldgames5976 No it's not. People think that but it's a misconception. Especially if you're someone like William with nothing to lose in life. When you get life in prison, you get a bed, food, entertainment (tvs,movies, video games etc etc). You become friends with a couple of other lifers and they become your life long friends. You learn the ropes of prison and then after many years, you become a kind of OG that other prisoners look up to and seek guidance. You can become a trustee where you get a better cell, better tv, allowed contraband etc etc. The whole "prison grape" thing is really just a myth. It happens but not like you think, and black people stick together in the joint so William probably wouldn't go through something like that. My point is, like with anything else Humans go through, you adapt, you make the best of a bad situation, and you learn to enjoy what you can. Life in prison is NOT better than death, because with life, there is always a chance for some happiness, even if it's fleeting. There is always a chance for hope, always a chance to have some fun, no matter where you're at. Death is death though. Death is final. I'm speaking as a guy who did 54 months in a maximum security prison back in my early 20's, and even there, I'd still take that over death. You'd think you'd prefer death, but once you get on death row, trust me, every fiber of your being will be fighting to get off. As that clock ticks closer to your time that you KNOW is coming, the dread packs on. Every appeal denies is a loss of hope. So yea, death is not better than life.
@xeriasual
@xeriasual 10 күн бұрын
@@RampageRalphidk 54 months in prison over death is of course preferred. But death over LIFE in prison is very much preferred. Don't act like your 54 months were life. Let me say how it really is. 4.5 years. 4.5 years is nothing compared to your entire life.

I researched the story with Chris and Williams and apparently Williams was having a severe psychosis due to smoking meth prior to the event. He even called 911 two days prior killing Christopher Neal when he was with a girl and heard imaginary people climbing through a window. Meth is a long lasting stimulant that can result in manic psychosis and I am 100% sure he was still having remains of the drug in the system when he was invading Christopher Neal’s home. I also think he has serious mental issues on top of that but he was not treated when he stayed in jail prior to his release. If you want a source for my claims click through Nexpo’s link then go to the article linked in the KZbin video that gives much more insight into William Jones state and what he did prior to killing Christopher Neal.

Somebody did. Every fear you have- based in reality or paranormal, perceived paranormality or literal- things that happen without understanding of how or why, that give way to the possibility of a casting an eerie otherworldly pall across it- all of these things have happened before, someway somehow, in some regard. Every disgustingly vile, torturous and disturbing thing possibly imaginable- it has happened in some fashion. And if it hasn’t, it will. Billions, trillions and zillions of people have existed over hundreds of thousands of years. It has began. Begun.

I have some updates regarding the Joanna Lopez case. The report was made anonymously and the Tv station was told by the anonymous caller that they'd call back for more info but never did. The photo is in bad quality because its been Photo-copied and the girl is said to be wearing heavy make up and large classes. Last year a women was contacted named Joanna Lopez who confirmed she had gone missing in 1989 and was freaked out by how the caller knew all this info. But unfortunately all contact with this caller was ended. So not much info after that was found. It is now asumed Joanna Lopez is safe considering the women who was called matched up with all the info we've gathered of the girl in the missing photo.

The “Selene Delgado” story is quite a sad one. Some people say she is a mashup of facial characteristics of Mexican females. Almost as an tribute or reminder of all the women that weren’t ever reported missing, or were found dead in ditches, or just trafficked. If she’s real, its sad that she never got closure. If she is the representation of all the women that go missing or worse, its even sadder that we didnt have all the info of those people and couldn’t do more for them but to mash them up in one in an attempt to find them.

I remember that at the time those missing persons spots were on air there were lots of cases of missing children and women. I'm probably remembering wrong but it feels like at the same time came up the kidnapping and murder of tons of women in Juárez, not really sure since that extended for a long period of time. Funny how these spots left us the impression that if you go missing you won't ever come back, with a lot of luck your body will be found somewhere...

The missing person pic from the Chicago station got me to thinking about something that happened long ago there in the 80s. It seems that Chicago during the old analog broadcast era seemed to have a lot of signal hijacking including the famous Max Headroom incident, and various minor audio intrusions. That's what the missing person after the anthem seemed like. It had no info slate, nothing but a very low grain pic probably scanned from a wanted poster. A copy of a copy so to speak. The point is, somebody may have really just wanted to get this girl's picture out assuming she was either a runaway, prostitute, or even someone mentally ill and with all the crime in Chicago, they may have felt inserting a little "extra" at the end of the anthem might have stirred someone's memory. It seemed like signal intrusion was a bit easier for some reason, so I could see a video jacker trying to get a pic out when the mainstream would have called her just another junkie or wh**e dead. Has anyone checked the cemeteries for burial records in the 1991 time frame? Obituaries also have doe's as well.

As a mexican these missing people broadcasts are super eerie to look back but not that surprising. Camera quality wasn't that high and México wasn't exactly rich during that time (or now) so cameras werent around that much. Due to that most people's only photos were from official documents (passports, licenses, IDs) wich were this blocky black and white quality. Never finiding someone was also too common due to the carteles so you'll have notices from people missing years prior because their families never stopped looking. I've been saying for about two decades now that Joanna Lopez is the United States' version of Selene Delgado and I honestly believe that both women were real missing persons. There's obviously a ton of differences between the two cases but there are similarities as well, with the main one simply being that their "missing" photo was broadcasted on public television a very long time ago with a total lack of any vital/important information. Unfortunately, I don't feel like either women were ultimately found, nor do I think they ever will be, and I highly doubt we'll know either way.

Sometimes there were up to 3-4 people announced in a row. Most of them were either very old people, young women or kids. PSA : If a tornado looks like it is standing still or in one place, it is coming TOWARDS you. Seek shelter immediately. Preferably get underground. If you are unable to, then hunker down in an interior room. A bathroom, pantry, or if you are at a gas station or restaurant that has a walk in freezer, get in there. If anyone lives in tornado prone areas and wants to build a shelter themselves I can help. I built my own for my house in Nebraska for less than $700 and it’s big enough for 6 people comfortably. It’s definitely worth the hard work it takes to dig and construct y’all!! If you need a materials list just reply to this comment and I can send you mine.

@@gorefieldluvr6921 Underground is by far the safest place during a tornado. My homemade little bunker is waterproof and in a piece of my houses lot that doesn’t flood. Just make sure you don’t build a shelter on the low parts of the area. Going through hurricanes is a different story. Underground is usually the last place you’d want to be because of what you mentioned, flooding. I’m from souther Louisiana and luckily when hurricanes hit we would have a decent amount of time to evacuate. They don’t show up all of a sudden like tornadoes tend to. If you are stuck on a hurricane we were always told to grab mattresses and go to an interior room and brace yourself. I’ve only had to do that once growing up and we went into our hallway. My cousins who lived nearby did the same but went into their bathtub and covered with the mattress.

And knowing the wife with their small daughter was upstairs the whole time praying it wasn't her husband that had been shot. I can't even begin to imagine. My heart breaks for her and their children as well as the rest of their loved ones. He looked like such a great loving father in the way he held his daughter in that photo just beaming With pride. At least for once the 911 operator kicked a$$ and didn't hesitate to calmly try to calm him down and try to distract him until the police could get there. My doors are always locked, since I had a break-in while I was home. Thank God the man either was on something or had a mental handicap because all he kept saying was stuff in Spanish I couldn't understand in a non-threatening manner and trying to get me to go to Mexico with him. Just asking me to go not forcing me. But since then, I've always had a dog, the doors always remain locked, and my best friend Mr. Ruger is always right next to me. It could have been way worse. The police never ended up finding him (as I was on with 911 and he was in my kitchen with the back door open my cat was about to go out the door. After pleading with him I charged at him, being short I shouldered him in the gut and knocked him out the door slamming it and locking it) but they found someone matching the description and he had a warrant for something very bad he did so at least we got one bad guy off the streets. Sadly, that wouldn't be the last. Another time someone broke into the main house when my daughter and I were cleaning our camper. But the real reason for my best friend is that restraining orders aren't bulletproof. My ex-husband and father of my 2 girls held a gun to my head and tried to shoot me in front of our 5-year-old daughter. When the cops arrested him we grabbed the essentials and left. However, this is the most dangerous time, they haven't had their trial they are free and they are mad. Not only did I get away but in his eyes I got him in trouble so I needed to pay. I got a restraining order for the girls and me but he would sit just outside the radius and watch us. The insane part is he would drive 4 hours each way down and back just to do this to me. Sorry so long but that is why I carry. PTSD is a witch with a capital B! Take care and stay safe my friend it could happen to anyone! 😊❤

There’s something inherently uneasy about the national anthem sign off’s of old TV stations, something that makes me happy it was something before my time. Something about how the somewhat happy and triumphant music cuts to nothing, to dead air. It leaves you essentially alone in the dark. No wonder it’s been used in so many horror media, from modern analog horror to the classic poltergeist. For something like the missing poster to show up just before the dead air- it’s creepy.

I grew up with it, and it was always creepy. Almost like the world was ending each time. A solemn, serious voice stating that this concludes today's broadcasts, a signoff that always seemed too final, and then the anthem. After that, dead air until some stupid infomercial would pop up around 4 or 5. Add that to the fact that most homes still had analog clocks that ticked in another room, and your nerves were cranked to 9, lol.

It's horrifying to think about if you were missing for 5-3 years, and the only help you ever got was such lack of care from a news station. The fact that her closest matching face is a deceased Jane Doe is worse, and the fact that the Jane Doe is and Joanna looks like a minority adds a disgusting possibility of racism to the equation

It was 4 am and I thought there was literally no one but it turned out there was 1 other player. But just walking around this massive map not knowing if you're alone or if u'll go around a corner and be shot was terrifying.

The image provided of Joanna Lopez is especially freaky because of just how poor quality the picture is. Obviously, it looks creepy on its own, but the fact that it's being used to identify someone who is missing makes it so much weirder. If you saw that broadcast, and then saw Joanna that same day, could you even recognize it was her? The face is so obscured, there's almost no detail at all, it makes me wonder who took that image and with what device. How did it turn out looking like that? And was it really the best image available of her face?

I think he was delusional and/or paranoid. He also didn't believe the cops were there. I think he probably just thought his life was in danger, and in his paranoid state thought Christopher was also after him. People in that state can be very dangerous, you can be as helpful and nice as possible, if they have the delusion you're also after them, anything you say is wrong and they can just snap.. Maybe he already had mental issues or drugs brought that out of him, idk but I really don't think his life was ever in danger. It's probably drugs otherwise they'd go for an insanity plea. People can be so unpredictable sometimes, it's scary.
@yawanoc
@yawanoc 3 жыл бұрын
@@RookieAssassin I've also met criminals before who will just roll with whatever story they can hoping to sow doubt. If this guy is a repeat offender, it's also possible that he already understands that anything said of him or two him in a 9-1-1 call would come back around to him in court, so he likely already knew that he needed to have *any* sort of excuse for being there, and his lawyer could work with it from there. To me, this seemed like a case where the burglar was caught mid-invasion and simply started going by the seat of his pants and hoping for the best. Granted, this could be wrong, and he could very much be under some sort of influence, but it's also the unsettling reality that completely sane and sober people can still be murderers.
