Disventure Camp All-Star Episode 20 Was Definitely Something...

Episode 20 was pretty good except for the ending. Also tell my why both of the final two already had a lot of screen time in their first season. But thx for watching and what are your thoughts on episode 20. You may also realize Cosmo (the purple cat) isn't in the video. That is because he is getting a redesign which should be ready by next week.

It ended like Gabby's elimination. Ally was eliminated last second. Even after she finally became comfortable with herself and waited for Jake

Riya and Yul were still mining for diamonds before they got chased by the scorpions, this means Riya CAN’T POSSIBLY HAVE HAD 10 GEMS. I hope next episode they check the bags, realise Riya didn’t have 10 and Ally is back in it, that’s the only way this ending can be saved. Also I’ll never get over the fact that the rock Riya threw at Ally’s face tore the bottom of her bag magically, it makes no sense.

Ok but riya should have been elimimated. She had zero gems and there is no way no one but her noticed the gems falling. Their on a slope, it is physically impossible to not notice the bag tearing, the bag is in their face. Also fiore had gems in her bag so it should at minimin be a tie. It's just annoying to see the bs they pull to keep her in the game, she's like a roach that never dies.

Ally was a great character this episode. If she was written like this all season (determined, empathetic, dorky, a bit petty and annoying but she always acts as the bigger person) she would be a great winner. I like ally being a flawed character, but throughout the season, her naivety, arrogance and her cringey behaviour was dialled up x1000. They wrote ally so badly.

I liked it till the fakeout elim, because even though ally's bag rips, u never see the diamonds fall or hear the sound of them falling, also pop quiz if there are 20 diamonds in a cave, Jake has 10 and good tools, ally has 10 and great tools, and riya has 0 and horrible tools, how does riya get 10 diamonds if they never fell from ally's backpack, also with her tools, she literally can't get 10 diamonds, its just crazy..!

The rock shouldn’t have even rip the bag. Looking at the trajectory, it was aimed at her head and the only thing that should’ve happened is the bag being gazed a bit.

The decision from the writers to eliminate Ally here is so baffling to me for 2 big reasons. 1 now it’s clear Jake will win while I think that was always pretty clear at least if it was him Vs Ally there would be some suspense, not to mention how overly negative Riya has been portrayed. 2 this finale doesn’t fit narratively I mean Jake and Riya two people that really don’t have any dynamic. Also the fact that you have so much of this season being about Ally and Jake having this massive rivalry and you don’t have them finally but their differences aside to defeat the main villain then go back to trying to take eachother out at the final 2. Like seriously this is obvious of good final 2 especially with both previous finales doing this, for S1 you had the youngest contestant V the oldest and for season 2 you had the villain turned hero v the hero turned villain. Like Jake and Ally is in every way the best finale 2 I just don’t understand how they went with Jack V Riya instead. Heck even Ally V Riya makes more sense as at least they have a dynamic.

Jake and Riya have no dynamic yet ally and Jake both have great parallels being people with suffering grandparents, both were enemies turned unlikely allies that still had tension. Ally and riya also have a dynamic with them both being the people hurt by peoples opinions of them and changing to make fans happy but ally overcomes it and riya can’t. She had a better dynamic with both finalists than they had with each other.

I only really have two issues with the episode. When Ally read the fake letter and accused Jake of trying to win sympathy points, that didn’t make sense to me. She told Jake that she watched season and saw the scene where he got the call from his brother saying his grandmother died. So she should’ve seen how torn Jake was about that and when reading the message, she should’ve been like, “This letter doesn’t make sense regarding what I know about Jake’s relationship with his grandmother.” Also the elimination was kinda dumb. If they wanted Ally to get eliminated, just make her finish the race in last. We already saw that Jake can beat Ally in a footrace when they were training earlier in the episode, so the addition of the poked home in Ally’s backpack just feels pointless.

Riya threw the sharp object she used to free Yul at Ally and it ripped her backpack at the bottom. It actually stayed ripped the entire time but we didn't see the gems fall out which feels like a copout. plus, how the frick did Riya get 10 gems with her disadvantage. At least with Ally and Fiore, we saw them with at least 1 gem. Episode 20 started pretty good but ended anticlimactically. 7-7.5/10 imo.

I just don’t get why they couldn’t just have Ally lose the race. She was already staying behind the help Jake, so she could’ve gotten last with Jake managing to go a bit farther at the end, and I think that would’ve been fine. Having Ally lose the gems makes it feel like the challenge didn’t matter as much, similar to when Gabby lost the phone

The most annoying thing about the fake elimination is that before it I was fine with Jake or ally leaving but once ally crossed the line, it sunk in how much after this episode I preferred her to Jake so revealing she’s gone annoyed me way more! Jake and riya both already had main character arcs in their own seasons and have been such writers pets this entire time yet this season, ally was one of the people who established who she was in this season rather than in her last one. The others have gotten so much already I mean Jake has his own mini series and was main character this season and in s1. Riya was already a main villain and already made the finale and had the same character arc she’s having now last season. Ally has nothing before or after this season really and this was a chance for her to prove herself as the good player she is and prove you can rise past struggles no matter how small people say those struggles are

I feel the same about the whole thing with Emily. It's like they wanted a similar plot to the thing with Jensen, but instead of weaving it in and letting it happen, we're instead just thrown little snips for a minute or two. These really were the worst 3, but there was hope with Ally, being that 1. She still was more likeable and less rich than Riya (who doesn't need the money), and 2. Unlike Jake or James, she has no connections to previous winnings. Ally and Jake being losers doesn't even make sense. The rule wasn't "Those who arrive first", it was "Those who arrive with 10 gems first". Jake and James had the 10 gems, and Ally and Fiore still had more than, or at least just as many as, Riya and Yul even after the bag ripped. I want whatever armor Riya has for the plot, because that is some serious protection.

i wanna believe that tbh dont get me wrong i love jake but him winning like THIS isnt rly satisfying at all i was genuinely expecting him to sacrifice himself to let ally win to make up for all hes done but im rly hoping in the next episode they pull something CRAZYY like riya also having 0 diamonds so jake got first by technicality and ally and riya both didnt complete the challenge by technicality resulting in an empty slot for the finale and kristal just deciding to let ally and riya both participate since the whole challenge was messed up but this is getting into conspiracy theory territory now

Honestly I am in the middle when it comes to Jake. I'm not a die hard Jake fan but I don't dislike or hate him either. Yea he has done a lot of annoying things but he has done many good things as well. I also can empathize with him a little because I have dealt with some similar issues that he did. I don't excuse all his actions but I can understand that trauma really can affect people in different ways. Ally was so great in this episode and I almost cried at how she was eliminated. Maybe if Jake wins he will give her some money because I really loved seeing them bonding prior to Riya ruining it with the fake letter. Riya I absolutely hate with every fiber of my being and if she wins it will send a very negative message that you can be a horrible person and get away with it. She has almost murdered so many people at this point and has no soul. Everytime I see her doing her fake little sad/guilty face I don't buy it. I can't believe I have to see her in the final 2 again it's so unfair. Really hoping this last episode will end this well.

Just like with Total Drama All-Stars and Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars, the one person we all wanted to win is eliminated for what can seemingly be seen as just plot convenience, destroying any last hope for this season to at least end on a high note. Seriously Tess, Alec, Lake, Ashley, Gabby, Connor, and now Ally were literally all eliminated solely for plot convenience and nothing more, and these are the eliminations that come up most when talking about this season. I’m just glad next week is the finale and I can be done with this series once and for all

I might bw the only one but i like this final 2, riya isnt the best but she is the villian role that makes you wish the other person wins. I like Marium and Fiore but i prefered other characters to win. Same with James and Riya, i was voting for Riya to win until she started backstabbing her friends and turned into the villain. Now the person i wanted to win in season 1 is in the finale of this season so im happy, i enjoy jakes character and i see him winning a good thing, everyone says he already has money cuz Marium, but if he wins, he could possibly keep some and help out his friends, like Marium, Ashley and maybe even Ally, plus his spinoff is a bonus because we get to know behind his character

Idk, just my opinion, but I don't find Ally's elimination that bad from a production and writing point of view. As although it is very sad when our favorite characters get eliminated in ways we don't expect, I believe that we should take it as it is. After all it is a show after all, the producers have a right to tell the story they want. Yes it is important to take audience opinions into consideration, but you can't please everyone. Personally I don't like Ally, but do feel for those who do and get why they are upset. The point being, there is no true winning with games such as these, its an elimination show. Just stating my opinions and everyone is entitled to think differently if they wish. Everyone has good points to their views on all stars, but no matter what, I hope people watch Disventure camp to enjoy the show.
