Yes Derek was exaggerating when he said Trevor only cares abt himself but I think he feels hurt because of how Trevor shuts down his ideas. Of course we know Trevor cares abt Derek, but he doesn't show it towards Derek himself. Kristal has shown appreciation for Derek, thats why he wants to spend time with Kristal. Emily has even said to Trevor that if he wants to show Derek that he likes him, he needs to show that he appreciates him as much as Kristal does.

I get it, but I loved them in S2. They were so sweet and maybe there's still a bit of the old Riya in her. Maybe she doesn't deserves forgiveness, but if she's remorseful and willing to change(and accept she doesn't need fame but just talent for her career)she will find love in Connor, and everyone deserves love. There is a secret rule in the entirety of the total drama source material… All characters that were in the finals only had one shot. It would never be fair for returners due to the fact that so many characters had been produced and there always need to be different people entirely in each finale. If Riya were to make it to the finals a second time unlike many others before would destroy the stability of the system. It is the cycle that made the universe always be able to have different predictions and kept things interesting
