I LIVED for her wedding. It is all my friends and I talked about for weeeeeeeeks in middle school. We were obsessed with Manson and then boom he hooks this gorgeous woman. Thus was at a time where there wasn't youtube and unless you *knew* what to look for as an 11 year old or whatever online, at that time you didn't know Dita. But damn when that wedding shoot came out, we wore that magazine to bits passing it around during classes. I've been a fan ever since. Their breakup broke my heart at that age but seeing her continue to grow and become the absolute queen of her trade... ugh 😍 what an idol. she's the greatest.

In 2013, she did a nice advice column on xojane with her personal skin care tips called "Ask Dita Von Teese: How Can I Take Care Of My Skin So It Looks Like Yours When I'm 40?" Her tips: no smoking, wear sunscreen always (light on normal days, heavy on days your outside for an extended period), and moisturize "like a maniac." She gives suggestions on products in it as well! The book she's currently promoting ("Your Beauty Mark") also has a lot of advice in it. :-) (Of course she's had some botox and eats very healthy, etc.)

The shock in peoples reactions to finding out that she’s in her 40s is hilarious. Yes, she exercises, eats minimally and healthy, has has a minor procedure or two, but more importantly, she doesn’t have the stress and weight on her shoulders from having had children. She’s free of the anxiety, worry, and loss of self care that can come with having a family to care for and devote your every moment to.

I really like Dita she's incredibly grounded and intelligent as well as being gorgeous and such a beautifully stylish woman. I love her look I have photos of my mum who was a kind of mix between Hedy Lamarr/Jennifer Jones and Vivienne Leigh....I think the different hairdos had something to do with that but she lived her youth wearing the kind of stuff Dita wears so well day to day. I wish I had the wasp waist you need to get off with glamour like this!
