Ass kissing? Really guys? I've spent years working in lingerie, and let me tell you, when the clientele that comes in to browse lingerie is 90% people who think $60 is expensive for a bra (ha!) and they don't look twice at the most exquisite pieces in the store, when someone like Dita comes in who understands and loves what they're looking at, it would get several of the girls gathered around to hang out and talk. It's exciting when you have passion for a niche like this, and then you find another devotee. As for how they were responding to seeing her in the gowns, that's just what it looks like when girls like other girls and are positive to each other. I work with dancers now and the dressing room sounds just like that every single night.

K. Inez Seube exactly. I work at a vintage clothing store and we carry items from the 1920s - 1970s. Half our clientele thinks we're a thrift store and the other half thinks crappy strips of cheap fringe is authentic flapper or that everyone in the 50s only wore huge ass dresses and giant polka dots. I love it when someone comes in who knows their stuff amd really has an appreciation for a curated collection.

Yup :). It's why anymore I tend to like to shop at small, independent stores. They tend to treat all their clientele as if they're "somebody" (at least the stores I go to do). Plus, they're really good about advising on sizing, observing what you're picking out and grabbing similar styles for you to try. Plus, if they get to know you they learn your style and can often point out things you might like right away.

Bhilithinn GUYS I'VE ACTUALLY SHOPPED AT "THE WAY WE WORE" AND THIS OWNER IS HORRIBLE!!! She's incredibly rude and unless you're a celebrity she treats customers like dirt! Ironic considering WE pay her bills. She's only nice on camera but a bitch in person (check out her yelp and google reviews). There are sooo many better vintage boutiques in LA and all around the US. Don't give her any of your $. I made that mistake and never went back again.

None of these women seemed particularly helpful in telling her if the dress was a fit or not, they just fawned over her and kissed her ass. As a girl with large 34DD breasts, I can confirm that if it's uncomfortable, you're probably wearing to wrong size. Bras aren't supposed to be uncomfortable so definitely get refitted if it's uncomfortable

Not only for the bra-size and comfort that everyone seems to expresss, you might have delicaste skin or a sensitive body. Underwire would normally not cause any discomfort, but if something more gentle and not so abrasive to your shape (for example a bralette) would be your preferred garment; you should have no shame in having personal preference. Hopefully you find an underwire bra that is very comfortable, because they can look very beautiful.
