It only works sometimes. If you want the job done correctly, invest in the right tools. I measured windows for blinds standing 3 ft away and 6 ft away and got 5’7 and 5’11 respectively. It’s a handy tool for jobs that don’t necessarily have to be perfect but I wouldn’t use it for precise measurements.
