From Leo: Never "ditch" any guitar, just buy an extra. I have the G&L bluesboy semihollow, and it is excellent, but so is my Fender Telecaster, just in a different way. I keep them both. BTW, that humbucker us a 4 wire variety, very easy to add a switch to coil split, giving more sounds cheap and easy.
@Eliseo_M_P Жыл бұрын
What coil split pot did you buy? Also, do you remember which wire is which for G&L humbucker?

I had my heart set on a Fender '52 reissue. Then I walked into 48th Street Guitars in Manhattan (now, sadly, gone) and saw the custom-ordered ASAT Classic: Antique maple neck, maple binding and hand-painted dark red metalflake swirl. I no longer wanted the '52 reissue. I bought the ASAT on the spot.

Great review. No fluff. Just the right amount of information for everyone’s benefit! The metal part sounded way better than I thought it would. For a single coil pickup, that was quite awesome!
@rishabhghosh1553 жыл бұрын
its not single coil tho, its a hum on the neck
@adityap87463 жыл бұрын
@@rishabhghosh155 nope. The metal part is not played on the neck pickup. If you notice the pickup selector, it’s closer to the bridge which is a single coil pickup.

I went out shopping for an American G&L Bluesboy and came across this exact guitar. It's superb and I actually think the Tribute is better than the American model, at a quarter of the cost as well. Thanks for the vid.

Great review and fine playing ! I recently tried a few Teles at this price range -Squier CV , Fender Player and the best for me was the G and L Tribute. It didn’t have the humbucker but it sounded great -big frets and nice feel from the neck . Have almost decided to go for one but your demo makes me want to check out the Bluesboy although stores here in Scotland don’t have a big G and L stock . Cheers 🍻

G&L's are the best Strat and Tele guitars for the price imho. Their other models are SAWEET as well. They have fixed some of the issues with these style guitars that fender is in love with continuing to produce as part of the guitar. Weve moved forward in time and advancement and Id rather play a guitar without the setbacks. I dont want to own a hard to play 50s relic strat etc. Has the same ol problems.
