New subscriber here. So glad I found this older video, I love getting to know you and the family. Seeing your day to day life really let's us see who you really are. You are an amazing women and mom. Your children are so precious. I'm older, my 4 kids are all grown now. Seeing you interact with your children bring back so many memories. I pretty much raised my 4 by myself as I lost my wife to cancer when they were young. Cheerish these days when they are young. You'll blink a few times and they are all grown up. It melted my heart to see you sitting at the table reading the bible to them. You are covering all the bases momma. Keep up the good work.

You are an excellent role model for all of us. My ex-wife and I homeschooled our daughter (who's now 26) and both had to make considerable sacrifices to ensure we could all be home as much as possible to ensure we all had plenty of family time. It was challenging at times, but it was also incredibly beautiful. I don't regreat a single moment of it and I'd do it all again. And wouldn't you know, my daughter's an amazing human being from whom I learn something every day. What a wonderful journey, and I pray you enjoy every moment, as it goes by so quickly. Much love from Vermont. Cheers!

That old wood fired cooking stove is so amazing… I have one i inherited from a very hardworking woman from downeast Maine. Route 9. She cooked thousands of meals on that stove. Baked bread, cookies…she could tell when the burners were right by using her hand to gauge heat. This was the way of living that must not be forgotten … cheers to you for carrying on the old ways. This world needs that , now more than ever 💪
@MaineGirlOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Wood cook stoves are awesome. This one came with the house when we bought it. My grandfather and my dad told me my great-grandmother(whom I never had the pleasure of meeting) used to make biscuits in the woodstove every morning for sandwiches for the men to take to work and the kids to take to school. As a "quick bread" biscuits were much more practical than loaf bread for a large family. When I made my first batch of biscuits in this stove, I sent a picture to my dad. He said "your great-grandmother would be proud". Sappy, I know, but I had a special feeling being connected that way with her even though I never met her.

I have friends in Spruce Head... Near Rockland. They left Long Island in 1978 and made Maine their forever home.... Maniacs! LOL My friend Mike got wicked drunk and some sick and did it again the next night too. I spent the summer of 1980 working at their Inn. What a GREAT memory! What great land and woods.

This video was different from all the others of yours that I have watched,,I got to see a very personal side of your life and amazing it was , the part of this video that touched my heart was when you quietly took the tops off the cook stove to build a fire ,, so as not to wake others in the cold of morning. It is a shame that people who have the time to watch your videos and learn so much about you and your family can not share with you guys these personal and revealing sides of their lives,,as I have told you before that it is amazing how much alike our lives are to your life ,,even though we live 26 hours away from you. Today I went crappy fishing on the lake ,,fed the birds ,,fed the deer ,,it was 70 degrees for a high ,, and daffodils and croakas are up and blooming ,,,tomorrow’s high will be in the high 50 s but 60 s every day after that for a week ,,ohhh and danni my wife sleeps with her dog also ,,,just like you ,,,but I am the cook and morning person in our house.
@MaineGirlOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it. I was thinking it was going to bore everyone.😅 You have daffodils and croakas already? That must be cool to see! I love daffodils. I have some bulbs I got last year but I received them too late to plant here. I don't think they would thrive if I plant them in the spring, and I'm thinking they won't be good come this fall either. 😕Catch any Crappies??? Oh yes, the dog loves the bed, haha. She has a nice memory foam bed with bolsters but she'd rather be on the bed. I didn't realize it was a "bad habit" to let them do that. But she will be ten next month-I'm not about to tell her otherwise, lol.
@bobbygreen22912 жыл бұрын
@@MaineGirlOutdoors the fishing is great if you catch a day when the wind is not too strong, yes we caught a few , but not a mess ,, I went to lake hickory but the better two lakes for crappy is high rock where there is no size limit or numbers , keep all you catch. No regulation on high rock ,,and lake Norman is a slab daddy spot but has 20 fish limit

Awesome video, I got tired just watching! Thank you for sharing your family with us. Your children will most likely grow to be responsible adults and know the right way to treat others by following the examples you set. The things that go on in public schools these days are not what they used to be and we have lost the wholesomeness that we once knew. While your way of life is never ending, the rewards you reap will be 10 fold of what others will see. So while you may think that this video was too much or too difficult, I think you will actually be an inspiration to other parents that struggle every day to raise their children right. So I hope you use your platform to continue to to inspire those that just need something to brighten their days, and your videos do just that. Keep up the great work and know that this grandpa very much enjoys what you share with the world! God Bless you all!
@MaineGirlOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Wow! Thank you for such kind thoughtful words. That really encouraged me. Yes, it is heartbreaking to see what our schools have become. Seeing so many children being saturated in the current culture via school and media platforms and having far left agenda shoved down their throats from such an early age makes me wonder what will be left of our beloved country in 30 years.💔 There is more to life than blaming everyone else for your problems and failures and constantly looking for the next handout. Thank you for watching!❤️
