Hey everyone! Follow along on a day in my life where I'm trying to recover from the flu.
Here's where you can find my dress: amzn.to/2t0rIoL
Here's that banana brunch punch recipe:
6 medium ripe bananas
1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate
2 c. sugar
3 cups warm water
1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
3 two-liter lemon lime sodas
In blender, blend first 3 ingredients. Blend warm water and sugar til dissolved. Mix sugar and bananas together and freeze until solid.
One hour before serving, place in large punch bowl. Add pineapple juice and soda. Stir until well-blended. Garnish with orange slices.
Yield: 16-20 servings or 3 qts.

If you were leading what some call the "glamorous" life, many wouldn't support you as they are. Knowing that your "side income" will be going towards your childrens future education is one of the draws, IMHO. If you were just out blowing cash in material goods, without a frugal thought in mind, carelessly, like so many others in "youtubia", you wouldn't have the loyal supporters that you do. Totally random...but maybe a potential item for your next Q and A: how do you and Josh feel about the 2nd amendment? I know some mennonite brotherhoods/sects have different beliefs. And I dont know what your laws are like in Penn. I'm from the state of Michigan but currently living in BC canada. I miss my concealed carry rights. I understand if you dont feel comfortable addressing this, as it's a bit controversial. Just curious about your beliefs/preference concerning self defense and/or recreational shooting. I know alot of it is cultural too.

Awww, I hope you feel better. Hot water with lime juice (I use a fresh lime) in the morning will break up the phlegm. I work as a teacher, so I'm always trying my best not to get sick. Love ya!

Hope you feel better soon! We've had some kind of sickness, too. I've been drinking a homemade "cold & flu brew" tea. It is easy to make and so soothing. Oh Campbell soup, my husband grew up with it too, and though we only use it when someone is sick (rarely) he makes sure there's always a stash of that and saltines in the pantry at all times lol

Just found out about you... so different to see a Mennonite woman who wears more modern clothes. The Mennonite ladies in my area all still wear the traditional undecorated dresses with the modest necklines, even the younger ladies, such as yourself, and teen girls. Its refreshing to see one who dresses more modern but still modest.

On pinterest they have a great diy recipe for the medicine ball. We have found the trick to make it just right is to get the teavana brand tea. Also use one of those soft mints, it'll melt into the hot tea. Also, the recipe we used had honey

The trick to that medicine ball is using half hot water, and half hot lemonade (simply lemonade is my favorite) to steep the tea. They also add a pump of peppermint syrup too. They mix the teas, you get one jade citrus mint tea bag and one peach tranquility. Add honey and you've got it!! ...I may have worked for the unnamed company who makes these at some point in the past.

Oh yummy. I always add fresh dill if I have it or dried, parmesan cheese and a tad of onion powder to about three cans of tomato soup for my family if 3 and we have that with grilled cheese or my son loves grilled bologna sandwiches. I find besides the tomato soup and chicken and stars all the others have more additives and msg which makes my son and I sick . So glad the tomato soup has stayed the same over the years!!! I used to love their bean of bacon and the vegetable soup but they started adding msg and other stuff I'm allergic to. .

My thoughts exactly :) I mean form 5 to 8 it's just three hours. No way my kids get tired in three hours time not even if we're out on the playground or hiking or whatever. i guess it depends on their personality and their energy level. I have a friend whose kids sleep three hours after luch even the six year old. Then she goes to sleep little after 8 in the evening. I just don't understand how😁😁

Hey girl, glad your feeling better! You have got to share how on earth you keep your grocery budget so low!!! I have two adults and two boys 11 and 9 to feed. I try to keep it at $500 a month, but usually we are closer to 600 and sometimes even $800. And that doesn't include toiletries I set up a whole different budget for that. I'm really enjoying your channel! You are very wise for such a young mom! It almost like I'm looking back to when my kids were babies. Thanks for sharing!

May I leave a question or thought of mine. This is not to be rude but just curious, I have watched quite a few mennonite videos and aside from the head covering and dresses you are just like me [non_mennenite. I can't even keep up with most mennonites as you all seem to be more prosperous than lil ole me . I am a bible believing christian. I can't even decorate most yrs and have to be very frugal. I thought that was what mennonites did, like me. It seems a lot of mennonite s are in the fast lane of remodeling. I feel disappointed as I thought I would be able to identify with your culture more. Its lonely having to be frugal. Any thoughts on this? Any reason for the great prosperity of Mennonites? Again I want to be respectful but question this. Thanks a bunch and you really are sweet. 😉

I totally see where you are coming from! Frugal looks different for everyone. I thrift and budget my groceries and sew my own clothes. I recently showed a living room makeover where my husband did most of the labor for free and then I earned the furniture from Martin's Furniture and Mattress by do that video for them. I always try to safe as much money as possible for my kids future education. However we are trying to save money to redo different areas of our house over time. It is not a fast process, but it eventually will happen. At the end of the day, maybe I'm not the KZbinr for you, but I do believe most of my videos are centered around making the most of what you've got! Best wishes as you begin 2020!

We found a renter for it. Renovated, painted, and he moved in. All in one week! It was meant to be. He is the best renter and I don't have to worry about changing bedding etc. every week for air bnb-ers. And thanks for asking.

I was wondering do you prefer selling on poshmark or ebay more?? Also, do you have tips for selling items faster? I have some pretty nice condition boys clothing for 10 to 12 years old and a little bit of unopened makeup to sell since I've decided to not wear much anymore. I have a nice white bedroom set as well but it has not sold yet and been on ebay a while .

Hi Megan! Before I came across your amazing channel, I haven’t heart from Mennonites before. I’m always eager to learn about other Christians and also other religions. Yesterday I saw a documentary about Mennonites in Lancaster County and they were so different from you. They are not allowed to have cell phones, TV, go movie theaters and so on. Therefore, are you “allowed” to watch TV or go to the movies? Are you allowed to go to college? Also would you be fine, if your kids would decide to not stay or dress different?

Hey - Campbell's soup, all the way from Scotland! :) The concentrated chicken and mushroom soups make good casserole sauces too - just put on top of some fresh chicken breast /chopped chicken in a casserole dish with some veggies and pop in the oven, so easy!

Hope you feel better soon. Here in UK there has been a big breakout of Norovirus which has made whole schools close because many children had it. Plus another stomach bug that came afterwards cos everyone was so low in their immunity.
