Looked at this same unit for my 96 2dr but ultimately installed the Kenwood DMX809s using the Metra double din kit. Actually came out really well.

I'm pretty sure the 99-02 NBS steering wheel will fit. I know the wheel they put in the 99 OBS trucks looked similar to it. They did make a version of the wheel with steering wheel controls, but I only ever seen them in S-10 blazers.

For the steering wheel controls you can get the steering wheel from the 99-00 Escalade

I bought a used single din pop out touchscreen stereo unit from Jensen. It has auto reverse camera, Bluetooth, radio and calls. It cool cus I can push the button for the screen to go inside the unit and when I reverse, it triggers the screen to come out and display the camera. I can't watch KZbin or Hulu or anything like that. But I might be able to mirror the screen from my phone. I need to bypass the park brake to watch movies on it.

Subscribed 💪 that obs is nice. I have a 97’ 2dr 2wd that I’m about to do some stereo work in. If I don’t like the floating screen that I bought Sony, then I’ll probably go this route cuz it’s clean af.

you can swap out the steering wheel for one with the volume etc. but it requires a lot of things be changed. BCM possible the heater box, most of the harness, keys, door locks... it is not easy

Would you mind telling me whats the width on the screen in mm? I've been trying to find out if a 10.1 screen would fit without blocking the vent. I've also been looking at joying headunits but I was worried it wouldn't fit depth wise, but I see yours fit nicely
