I never understood why they made such a spectacle about this-anyone could see that this was a rough time in her life, and the decent thing to do would’ve been to simply let her try to heal in private. They were talking about her as if she wasn’t a living, breathing person who could be watching this. This woman was the walking epitome of the statement “fame is a jail cell lined in glitter.”

People don't know that the reason Whitney went to Isreal in the first place is that her sister in law (Tina, I think) had cancer and they wanted to have a spiritual retreat for her while she fought it so that she would be fully healed. And, of course, the media had to get it twisted and make a huge spectacle out of something already stressful that was happening to Whitney & her family

I stand on what I said for years , that the fucking media and the people around her DRAINED Whitney 😔. She had too many people around her that claimed to love her but did nothing but take take take take take from her. There is NO artist and I mean NO ONE that works as hard as Whitney did , I hate seeing people constantly saying "the drugs she was doing ruined her voice". Like no stupid ass people really look at how many fucking tours she did , look at how close her albums were released and then go back and look at the tours that followed. Just her work schedule being on the road SINGING day in and day out , night in and night out will cause someone's voice to lose the flexibility and other things as well when it came to her voice. Whitney's songs were not just "regular" singing songs baby you HAVE to HAVE pipes to even attempt to sing her music , and she did that for yearsssss straight. The public doesn't understand that people GET TIRED Whitney has given soooooooooooo much to this world by this time and the only fucking thing they focus on is her downfall. It just pisses me off so bad bcus they build you up to only tear you down and Whitney was NEVER and still to this day a fucking joke!! Like how the fuck can someone say that shit!? I don't care what anyone says WHITNEY MOTHAFUCKIN' HOUSTON IS and WILL always be THEE GREATEST FEMALE SINGER IN LIFE ‼️‼️

From the footage we saw, Whitney seemed at peace. But I’m glad she got away from those Israelites lol she must’ve thought they were going after her money. 👀 Heck she probably didn’t know who they were (I think Leolah Brown is an Israelite). Whitney's 1996 PreacherWife album was successful and 2 hit global songs and 1998 MyLoveIsYourLove album was even more successful with 3 hit global songs esp MyLoveIs and ItsNotRight which she won a grammy for female r&b vocal in 2000. It’s all to fit a narrative. In truth between 1984 and 2001, few were as consistently successful as Whitney Houston. A 17-year constant success story? That’s rare. The only divas I know who managed that were Madonna, Sade and probably Barbra Streisand. I mean it obviously took a toll on her as we see but still 17 years? Hit albums, movies, TV shows, concerts? If that’s “over”, I’d be blessed to have THAT.

It´s such a sad documentary, because the media talked so badly about everything that she did during this period. If Whitney found peace there for a while then it´s good for her. I really wished that the media would be more positive towards her, but that does not sell newspapers and magazines. When it comes to celebrities the media loves to build you up and tear you down. They however also love comebacks and I wished that Whitney would still be around but in a much better place than she was towards the end of her life. Love you Whitney and your music. I always will.

17:01-17:28 Whitney urging Bobby to shake the Prime Minister's hand isn't strange at all lol. Whitney was a staunch believer in the traditional values and tenets of a marriage, wherein both parties embrace and perform their masculine and feminine duties, respectively, without trying to encroach upon or disempower the other. Therefore, when the Prime Minister decided upon a gesture of respect and hospitality to Bobby and Whitney in the form of a hand shake offered to Whitney, she made it a point to emphasize that her husband should be the one to accept the hand shake, as he is the man and the leader of the relationship. She actually alluded to her belief in wifely submission earlier in the video when a paparazzi guy comes up to her while she's getting out the car to enter the courthouse and says, "Good morning, Ms. Houston." She immediately corrects him, retorting, "MRS. BROWN..." She clearly wasn't appreciative of anyone, no matter how powerful or important they were, inadvertently or otherwise, putting her above her husband (in any way, shape, or form) simply due to her enormous fame and renown. To her, he would not be treated as the second-class citizen of their relationship.

Whitney - The Queen of Pop and the trainwreck. What a tragedy ! Fanatics do not like that, but it was her reality. Being Bobby Brown was so horrible to watch. All that changed when she got separated from her girlfriend. Bobby Brown was her downfall. I missed "Houston, we have a problem" and the infamous Diane Sawyer interview.
@jimmyboyzable
@jimmyboyzable 2 жыл бұрын
I truly and wholeheartedly believe that Whitney's biggest downfall was when Robyn Crawford was forced out of the picture because she was the ONLY one who kept Whitney out of trouble and while I DO believe that Whitney's family loved her & all that, IMO, they didn't do enough to help her and I feel like Robyn cared more about Whitney a LOT MORE because she DID MORE for Whitney and her family dogged Robyn out so badly, trashing her (and Whitney's brother called her a "nobody" and "an opportunist")...they just didn't like her because she was/is gay. Had they NOT forced Robyn out of the picture, it's a possibility that Whitney's life could've had a completely different outcome (she would probably still be alive today)

@@jimmyboyzable I agree, Whitney was not much more than a money machine for her family and Bobby Brown was a jealous and destructive character. Another drag on her was the so-called black community who made her feel bad for her success with "white" music, just political nonsense, not to forget that gay issue. She didn't know that she lived in a snake pit. Thankfully Tina Turner made her way and became happy by separating herself from all that race shit.

I mean come on! Try & tell me God didn't set all of this up. After hundreds of years of slavery, it's like God was saying "I'll create the best voice there ever will be, & I'll put it inside of the most beautiful woman that has ever lived, & I'll make her Black-how you like that? " EDIT: KZbin MODERATORS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO DELETE COMMENTS THAT TRY TO DISCUSS THE LIFE & DEATH TOPIC OF RACE- I hope to be surprised & that this comment will not be censored.

I disagree this isn’t racist but they tried to make it seem as if she looked unhuman or extremely cracked up! However when she was in the red she looked bad 🤦🏾‍♂️ but her voice was strong and she could still sing and speak so beautifully after 2003 is when she lost her voice due to heavy drug use, beers and drinking. If the media was and her so call friends was so worried about Whitney try telling her no and try to get her the gel she needed instead of always agreeing and saying yes yea yea Whitney

@@JustTheLonelyTalk she was the most vibrant she ever was, she was glorifying & adoring the Lord & (as Mahalia Jackson crooned) "YOUR God". Our standards of beauty, based so much on White supremecy & materialism, wasn't able to recognize the glowing beauty that was emanating from this faithful & courageous servant of the Creator, period. She was literally singing praise unto the Lord in her back yard ON VACATION at 11:38 (though we should normalize going into praise everywhere & anywhere at any time anyway, but that's another conversation...) , & they called it a "low moment"!!! They even called HER "strange" when she exhibits her faith in public by deferring to religious gender roles & not shaking the Israeli official's hand, letting her husband become the representative of their union, not because she thinks women are less than, but because she's telling the world at that moment with all those "cameras ablaze" that there IS a God "for the Bible tells me so", just like certain parts of the Bible say that wives are particularly adept at providing a supportive, foundational role in a marriage (not that I agree, another conversation)... who's really strange here? Hoda Kotb & Wendy dragging a saint as they claw their way to the top, too... can't ever blame a Black person for nothing in this strange world, though. You know, at least 211 Black babies are gonna die today of AIDS, according to the United Nations? WE HAVE ALL THE MEDICATION WE NEED TO SAVE THEIR LIVES!!!! But we've been selling it for $2,000+ per month when it costs only $6 to manufacture- straight facts. Strange, strange world. Crazy they're so wack about weed in this documentary, too, & persecuted Whitney for it. Now it's mostly legal almost everywhere & we now know it was criminalized only to continue to enslave Black people by imprisoning them (studies show that White & Black people use weed the same amount, but Black people are the only ones made criminally liable...) & especially criminalized for the persecution of Black-& thus inherently revolutionary- artists (Rest in Power Queen Billie Holiday) not @ all cuz it's bad in any way ... it grows out of God's green earth for Christ's sake! But they used it as a tool to commit character assassination on Whitney (& countless others), before the physical execution in the village square, for the whole world to see.

@timmy841212
@timmy841212 2 жыл бұрын
That was not her true love. Whitney thought Bobby would be THE ONE but he treated her like a dog, Robyn or not. Robyn said whatever she and Whit had was over long before she got with Bob. What Whitney really suffered from was trust and a little more self-love as well as unspoken trauma. She was a possible abuse victim and she never recovered from the fallout of her parents’ marriage. THAT’S how come she fell into that world of drugs. She was using to buffer up the pain she was going through. Robyn couldn’t help her because she herself went through traumatic episodes prior to meeting Whitney.

Not true! Whitney was a young girl just experimenting with Robyn, like so many young teens do. The physical part from my understanding only happened maybe 2 times until Whitney stopped it! @@timmy841212 that is incorrect. Whitney was still secretly sleeping with Robyn up until she left in 1999.
