Felt and plastic on a €30k speaker...seriously?? Better hope you don't own a cat or live in a humid climate with that felt. A good wool felt can't cost more than €25 per speaker. Then you have the issue if the amp breaks you can't use the speakers. Manufactures are really taking the piss now by going cheaper and charging more.

The look of these is really off-putting to me. Ugly. Give me Dovedales, or Super Lintons, or L100s, or Klipsch Cornwalls, or Zu, or Mission, or Mofi Sourcepoint. These are just dumb looking to me. I am sure many love the look, but .... yuck.

The MSRP is too high. I’d rather go KEF LS60 which offers similar functionality for an all in one, high WAF, eq, and then use the other 34k in my budget for a man cave hifi setup. Or a used sports car.

So, I have Focal Aria 926 & 936 and was wondering how this was built (GR-Research Curious). I took apart Aria 926 and to my surprise the Crossovers are using Cheesy parts. Steel screws, steel connectors, caps in the crossover😦, Push on Binding Posts and 11.25mm MDF cabinet.

Kevin looking very non-plussed about these new speakers. I agree. Kinda think they screwed the pooch with these. Felt and a lot of plastic for $40k is rich. Love me some Focal. But I’ll pass on these.
