My most memorable hunt was back in high school. My younger brother, dad and I had seen geese in our neighbors cut barley field. We set up a dozen styrofoam decoys and laid under some blind material on the fence line. Like clockwork a flock of eighty or so came in. We just watched in awe as they circled a couple times then landed. We were so stunned it worked that well we just kept watching. Then we remembered our goal was to bag a few. No fancy gear, no limits, no pics for the gram( before social media), just some good ol boys enjoying each others company and our hunting heritage. henryhighcountry

My most memorable hunt happened on the same morning my grandfather passed away. I got the call while we were setting up decoys in a snowy, ag field. Later, that morning we shot 11 Canada geese and 8 of them were banded. My buddy also gave me my first lanyard (to put my first band on) that morning, it was blue with a little bit of white. My grandfather's nickname was Blue. This was definitely my most memorable hunt to date and will be for a long time! Keep up the great work guys! @grizzlystacking

My most memorable hunt was last year, Christmas Eve day in Nebraska. We were hunting open water for Canadian honks and soon as we got spread set up the storm front opened up. Went from 36 degrees to 10 degrees and just nuking snow and took home a 6 man limit by 11:30 with some best friends and family! I'll never forget that hunt! noblewentworth

Most memorable hunt was hunting was hunting with hall of fame baseball player Red Schoendienst on his last hunt ever. There was a huge gang of us, and we all watched as even in his old age his love for the outdoors, especially waterfowl showed. We were all blessed to be graced by his presence, and the hunt we had that day was one for the books. Limits in the cold! Will remember until the day I die.

One of my most memorable was with my father in law and a guy we had taken him duck hunting for the first time in 2021. We had been doing well in the backwater and caught a few ducks out in a spot no one had been getting in and decided to go in the next day with a bad draw (public ground). We went into the timber and the first group slid off the edge so we repositioned the boat. In a hole 30 yards by 60 yards we sat and harvested 12 greenheads by singles and pairs the whole time. They were dropping in through a break on the edge of the trees perfectly. Not very often on public around home we can pick out our 12 greenheads, but it was just a perfect representation of a mallard timber shoot.

Awesome vid. My most memorable hunt, i have two. Both on my birthday January 23rd. First one was several years ago in Arkansas where we shot like 70 snows, 9limits of specks, 9 limits of pintails, and a few mallards, all over a snow spread in a dry field. Which, dry field ducks doesnt happen often in arkansas. The next one was last year. Also January 23rd. Public land in arkansas we shot 5-6 mallards and a few teal, as well as a double banded drake greenhead and a banded Speck. Man those are two I will never forget.

My most memorable hunt was with my dad in 2023. I was 16 years old and we drove about two hours north to try a spot we knew nothing about on a sub zero day. The only thing we had insight on was where our buddies directed us too. We got there saw a handful of birds and here comes the ice. Froze us in and had to break 1-2 inches of ice for a mile boat ride. It was a scary moment for me being that we were fairly new to waterfowl hunting. So we got out of there empty handed. Both of us were bummed but we still wanted to hunt. So we drove around and checked on x. Found a launch and made a 2 mile boat ride on a bigger body of water not knowing what to expect. We ended up shooting a two man of mallards and some bonus divers. One of the mallards was banded too which was my first ever band. It will definitely be the most memorable hunt I will ever be on in my life.

My GREATEST hunt was 2014 with my then 14 year old grandson. We shot 14 ducks; 10 mallards & 4 pintail. The last one he shot; banded drake pintail from Walsh Alberta Canada. I hunt at the Chesapeake Duck Club in northern UT. Another unbelievable story was 6 years to the day my grandson shot another banded drake pintail. It was later the featured story on Wikdfowl magazine.

Would have to be a hunt I remember with my dad, wasn't nearly the best day we ever had for stacking up the ducks, but we laughed made memories. We caught a couple catfish while we were hunting 😂, there's a photo I cherish from the day. It's my pops with the decoy hook in his hand, and the motor cover on his head. "The KRAKEN! " he said right as I snapped the photo with a disposable camera.. RIH pops! Miss you bad.

Wow- you guys weren’t on the X, you were on the whole alphabet! Those kind of shoots don’t happen very often for me eventho it isnt about the numbers as much as having the advantage over the birds. So my best day, and most memorable started with my dad, best friend and myself spending two hours busting one inch thick ice in kayaks down a quarter mile slough, on public, to get out to a creek mouth that had maybe thirty yards of open water. I set the decoys to plug the hole except for right in front of the blind. Cold blue-bird day standing in a foot of water but had the heater going so it wasn’t challenging. And that speaks to the rest of the day; flocks of twenty plus birds practically trying to land on our heads. Three man limit of nothing but greenheads and, like you guys here, we just took our time and chose our shots. Nothing but pure magic. @jtdurant

My most memorable Hunt was with my dad and uncle and two friends hunting a corn field in 3 foot of snow. The mallards and the geese were so thick in the field that you could literally stand on top of the snow. They walked in the standing corn and ate the corn off the stalks. We shot 36 Drake's and 21 geese and 11 bands.

You guys were smokin em in this one! Good shooting. My most favorite hunt has got to be one similar to this, flooded corn and birds in your face. After a long weekend hunting a new far away location with little success, i couldn't wait to get back to my local corn. I waited in the parking lot for a half hour before walk in time thinking I'd have the place all to myself. 5 minutes before, another truck rolls up. Got 2 options; run to my spot and have it to myself, or ask him what his plans are. I decided to see what he has planned. Sure enough, we have the same spot in mind. We end up hunting together. We're both equipped with a dozen and half ish decoys and wind mojos. We had an epic spread along the corn line with the wind right at our back. I only shot a couple birds, but was able to help this younger new hunter shoot a beautiful mixed bag limit with the birds landing 15 yards from us before I had to go to work. @SubieD00bie

I have a few memorial ones. I started duck hunting when my father could not find a babysitter when I was 3 yrs old. When I was 5 my dad gave me a toy gun to take with and told me "When you can handle this and not point the barrel at anyone, I will get you a BB Gun". The next yr I got a BB-gun. When I was 11 he gave me a 20g Sears And Roebuck single shot to start hunting with. We were out at our favorite slough and it was late and snowing like your hunt. I was a beginner at calling, but we worked this flock for at least 15 minutes trying to get them to come in. They would look like they were going to land farther back in the swamp where we could not get to so many times. My dad kept calling and finally we got them to drop into the little hole we were in. I shot one greenhead and my father did not shoot at all. He just looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "That was the most beautiful thing ever!"

Gotta admit, it’s a god idea…that’s got all you cats laughing!! Love you guys…I LOVE ALL YOUR CONTENT. I’m just going through a season of my life where I am an AVID HUNTER, and I have all the gear….from like 25 years ago passed from my pop’s on down. But if I could I would def buy the heck out of ALL YOUR STUFF! Flocked dec’s…all your gear…just can’t afford it currently. 😕 I guess it’s kind of sentimental because my pop’s passed a few years ago and was my main hunting partner…..and I mean my dad…..not partner pronouns there lol. What I would LOVE TO DO….is bring your asses to Minnesota or NORTH DAKOTA AND SEE IF YOU CATS CAN HNG IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS. Love you guys and keep on blasting and giving good advice to everyone on your channel.

Using ice eaters, we opened a 30 yd hole in 2-3” ice. Barely able to get to the blind in 15-20 degree Missouri winter, 3 of us took turns shooting only green. The deal was in rotation, you got the first shot to kill the duck. If you failed, the other two could shoot the bird and- importantly, you got to buy breakfast. 90 minutes and 12 greenheads later, we had breakfast while warming up. Don’t remember who bought, but I’ll never forget the morning.

Most memorable hunt has got to be when a buddy took me out shooting divers on lake Simcoe with him and his son for the first time in December. His son was about 11-12 years old at the time and tripped while walking back to the boat and got soaked. He toughed it out for the rest of the hunt, at one point sitting in the boat with the buddy heater trying to warm his feet while we were chasing a cripple in 3-4 foot rollers. The lake ended up getting too rough and we made it back to the launch just in time as the waves were now closer to 5-6 footers. alex.clouthier_outdoors

When I covered the bottom of the boat with 3 boxes of 20g shells on the youth hunt in 2010 with my dad and grandpa laughing at me to shoot 6 ducks. But got my limit and a bruised shoulder! @lockem_rockem

My most memorable hunt was last year when I was hunting with my cousin on a piece of property that was a honey hole for ducks. When we got done hunting we had our limit of mallards and one Canadian goose. @dillon_henson.
