My favorite so far of you guys diving - learned a ton. I understand Gus' encouragement; in fact, over the years, my Dad when I was younger, my football coach in High School, and my Ranger instructors in the Army were all equally encouraging and used similar language. They all had the patience of Gus - its uncanny. :)

I am watching this for the 3rd time this morning. The beginning seriously cracks me up! “Go! Go! Get off of me! Get away from me!” You guys fight like a couple of toddlers. Gus has the patience of a piss ant. (Which I can’t say much because I do too) He looks at everything real quick and is ready to move on to the next thing. Woody wants to take his time and soak up the beauty of every single thing. So it makes it entertaining for us to watch. Polar opposite people but the best of friends. 💙

This is the stuff I was wanting to see from you guys. That cave looked crazy with all the twists and turns. It's nightmare fuel for me, as I haven't ever done more than recreational qualification. Really good stuff! It would be interesting to see you both doing a 'gear check' before your dive, not as instruction, but more like how you self-check before you go in the water.

Just found your channel and LOVE it! ❤Hello from Canada, 🇨🇦 I was certified through PADI in the 90’s. Our dive instructor/master was like a drill sergeant, he owned the local dive shop and had been a commercial underwater welder. Anyway, we complained about his rigidity and rules but I tell you, all of our class were excellent divers by the end of our course. Classroom I still remember how to calculate dives in a dive book, and our whole class drove to Vancouver Island for our open water. In April, in the Pacific. 44 degrees F …. I have never been so cold as that( which is why I bought a dry suit after) 3 days out on the ocean doing our dives. I dove all around the Caribbean and watching these videos, the moving of hands is making me crazy, that was drilled out of us immediately we were streamlined and knew how to frog kick as well as fins. We also knew to not TOUCH anything. My faves were wall diving and drift diving. Im too claustrophobic to do cave or wreck diving. I once dove with a group of people from USA, and we were on a reef dive. These people had there hands on everything and one kicked her fin, dislodging a part of the reef 👹 I believe they get a half hour pool training at some resort then are let loose. So it has been 20 years since I dove but hoping I can resume at some time soon. Great channel! ❤

Woody, and Gus....awesome channel guys! I've enjoyed going through and watching your vids since discovering your channel a week ago. If I may, I have one constructive criticism, as well as a video idea (request), for you guys. The criticism is in regard to the audio volume differential between your commentary dialog, and the audio of the videos that you've been reacting to. Some have been better than others, but the majority are way off. One of the Mr Ballen vids' volume was so low that I had to max the volume. Which nearly blew my speakers when yall stopped it to comment. lol. While I realize yall are experts in cave diving, and not video editing, this is an issue that I think will pay dividends if it is rectified in future videos, sooner, than later. Don't know what editing software yall are using, but many have a "function" called "audio gain leveling, or matching", when laying down, and splicing video tracks in your timeline sequence. "Power Director" is what I use video editing, and it works very well for Windows OS. The video idea I have for you guys is to start doing "reviews" in regard to items, and equipment, which are manufactured specifically for "cave diving use" (ie deep depth pressures, and darkness). In other words, comparisons between flashlights used for recreational diving, at shallow depths, and flashlights used for 100+ meter dives in complete darkness. The lights yall prefer to use, and why. As well as who makes them. Basically, conversations about ALL your gear. One video mentions a "Megalodon" rebreather. It would be cool to see yall show one, and talk about what its best applications are, strengths, weaknesses, etc. And the list goes on. Dive computer brands to avoid because of frequent failures, etc. Dive line build materials, strength ratings, common brands, etc. Hopefully this is something that yall might find worth while in pursuing. I think many would find these types of videos very interesting, and possibly helpful. One last question....have either of you ever heard of a flashlight made by "Acebeam", called the "W30?" It's supposedly rated for diving up to 100 meters. It has one of the highest Candella ratings in the world, but it's Lumen output rating is only 500L. Sorry for the "novel", and thanks for any reply. 👍

Ever since Gus got that top of the line Petrel 3 from Shearwater it makes cave diving so much more ultra precise and fun that he is diving at a astronomical level of efficiency combined with an unheard of level of perfection that he was not aware of his actions. With the Petrel 3 Gus was able to not only able to advance his diving but he was also able to hit a skill level previously unheard of giving him the perfection of Brian Kakuk, the courage of Mike Young and the heart of Edd Sorranson. Put on top of that the speed of Usain Bolt and the formula one engine on his wrist you have the pinnacle of excellence. Hell, I have to include the soul of Sheck Exley too lets put that in there. So for Gus it was not that Woody was going too slow it was that to him Woody was basically at a standstill. Woody you must agree with me now after reading all this that Gus can not possibly be held responsible for his actions and that its actually your fault for wearing the Petrel2 and putting everyone else at risk.
