WCAPS believes global issues demand a diversity of perspectives, actions and voices. As part of this discussion, we are honored to welcome Janet Simon for a presentation on Peace & Security in ANTIGUA & BARBUDA: A YOUTH-BASED PERSPECTIVE.
This presentation offers a comprehensive analysis of peace and security initiatives related to youth development in Antigua and Barbuda. It examines both internal and external barriers, such as mental health challenges and inadequately structured education systems, that affect young people. The presentation also highlights the efforts made by governmental and non-governmental organizations to address these challenges across various sectors of society.
Janet is a native of Antigua, a National Youth Ambassador, a trained educator, and an aspiring diplomat who is dedicated to service and self-development. For over two years, she has been offering valuable advice and motivation to students, emphasizing the benefits of conflict resolution strategies, time management for mental health, and developing effective study habits. Through her initiative, Janet continues to build critical connections that have the potential to reshape the mindsets of youth, equipping them to make positive life choices.
