Discrimination:- when be look someone with inferiority and feels differ from us called discrimination. It's mainly happen in india based on caste , colour, race and religion... Prejudice:- when we already make a negative opinion and unreasonable fact regarding someone called prejudice. Stereotypes:- when own opinions convert into perceptions called stereotypes. Due to stereotypes we don't want to know about any facts and anything regarding something. Constitution:- it's what give us law, rules and regulations for society, country and everything. It covers many aspects of society about it's formation. Preamble:- it's the abbreviation of the constitution which tells about our duty and rights in a very short way. Untouchability:- it's a form of discrimination in which we assume an upper caste differ from lower caste. 😊❤ I know I made many mistakes but at a time I will come to know how to write a good answer! 😅🙏

Article 17 of the Indian Constitution is a fundamental right that abolishes the practice of untouchability in any form and makes it a punishable offence. It aims to ensure social justice and dignity for the Dalits, who were historically oppressed and discriminated against by the upper castes. It also prohibits any disability arising out of untouchability, such as denial of access to education, temples, public facilities, etc. Article 17 is a part of the Right to Equality (Articles 14-18) and reflects the constitutional commitment to create a casteless and egalitarian society. Untouchability is a social evil that has its roots in the Hindu caste system, which divides people into four hierarchical groups based on their birth. The lowest group, known as the untouchables or Dalits, were considered impure and polluted by the upper castes and were subjected to various forms of humiliation and exploitation. They were forced to live in segregated settlements, perform menial and degrading jobs, wear distinctive clothes and symbols, and follow strict rules of purity and pollution. They were also denied basic human rights and freedoms, such as education, religion, property, marriage, etc. The framers of the Indian Constitution were aware of the plight of the Dalits and wanted to eradicate untouchability from the Indian society. They included Article 17 as a fundamental right that can be enforced by courts against both the state and private individuals. They also empowered the Parliament to enact laws to give effect to Article 17 and punish those who violate it. One such law is the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955, which defines untouchability and prescribes penalties for its practice. Another law is the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, which provides for special courts and special public prosecutors to deal with cases of atrocities against Dalits. Article 17 of the Indian Constitution is a landmark provision that has contributed to the emancipation and empowerment of the Dalits in India. It has also challenged the caste-based hierarchy and discrimination that pervaded the Indian society for centuries. However, despite its legal abolition, untouchability still persists in some forms and regions of India. There are still cases of violence, harassment, boycott, segregation, and exclusion of Dalits by the upper castes. Therefore, there is a need for more awareness, education, social reform, and legal action to ensure the effective implementation of Article 17 and uphold the dignity and equality of all citizens.

Dr BR Ambedkar said that we have achieved political equality but not social equality in his final speech to the Constituent Assembly on November 25, 1949. He meant that the Constitution granted the right to vote to each citizen without any discrimination, but this did not ensure equality in other spheres of life, such as economic and social.
