Just a fun note: They changed a this attraction a bit since they have been there. They increased the water level (you get really wet now, no matter which position you are. In fact, it rivals with "niagara", a "shoot-the-chutes" that we have, regarding the amount of water that hit you. ) and they deactivated the breaks situated at 2:19. It doesn't seems, however it's a really fun ride now. :)

+Frank Zammetti My thought EXACTLY. Even on a normal roller coaster, I vividly imagine the cars falling sideways off the first hill as they are slowly pulling me up. I can already see in my mind's eye the vision I would be having were I to ride this: the boat goes up a little crooked, so that it is half on, half off the rail when it reaches the top. On the way down, it hops off the track about 25 feet down, free-falling to our inevitable death. This might not be a ride for me.

There are quite a few water coasters in the world, produced by a variety of manufacturers. This was Intamin's take on this style of ride, but other manufacturers like Mack are in the business of producing similar rides. You can see some of Mack's work with Europa Park's Poseidon or Journey to Atlantis at any of the SeaWorld parks, if you were looking for other examples.

Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO used to have a rollercoaster very similar to this called Buzz Saw Falls. It's been replaced with a launch coaster called Powder Keg, but some of the old ride's rollercoaster tracks were kept and recycled for the new ride.
