I think the one thing I love about Superman is that he's aware that he himself is basically invincible, but those around him aren't, so he fights to protect and save anyone and everyone he can. There are times where those rooting for him see him beaten in a state never seen before, in which they start to lose hope, but Superman never gives up and continues the fight, fighting for those that need him. This song perfectly captures him in these aspects.

Superman is anything but basic. He's got all this power, but he stays humble. My favorite scenes of him are when he's just being an amazing person with a caring heart. Such as a moment where he talked down a jumper. He spoke to her as someone who gave a damn, not as a hero. He could have just grabbed her and flew her to the EMTs, no muss or fuss. The lyrics and the mix are arguably two of the most imporant aspects of a song and he's somehow nailing both of them I really don't know how he does it, but those last few songs were just on another level. Keep it going, I love listening to "heavier" songs with even harder lyrics

I feel like a lot of people put too much emphasis on Supes being "soft" and a "boy scout". They forget his intensity, or how much strength it takes to strive to do right no matter what. This song is perfect for reminding people of that!
