I can understand getting rid of it since it had no fragrance, I got rid of mine for the same reason (also because I paid for a clone that was supposed to be deep yellow and it wasn't). The RM x labiata just finished blooming so I need to try extricating it from the other plants in the same tray so I can send it on to you. It is fragrant, so no worries there and the blooms are large. I'm not going to unpot it unless you want me to, the pot will have to be cut off to repot it. If you want me to cut off the pot, I'll wrap the roots in sphagnum and plop it in a larger pot to ship it.

Yeah, when the collection is so big, and you get a cattleya without fragrance, unless it's really special, it has to go 😂 No need to unpot anything, just do whatever is easiest. I'm getting yours ready tomorrow and sending it Monday as well. I spent all last weekend flushing and revamping the grow space so haven't had time to do anything. This one is fragrant as well, and the Tetraspis keiki is growing nicely!

@@michaelmccarthy4077 it's ok, it's an RM, just cut off the roots Lol, it'll re-establish as long as it has other roots LOL! Also no rush, i'm around and wont' be travelling for a bit so take your time.

Do Cattleya’s typically do well in Leca? I have 5 to repot soon.

I'm my experience they do. I'm moving to organic just because I like it better, but my cattleya hybrids did fine!

i have a hard time growing this orchid. i love Yellow Bird but mine always do not thrive for me i do grow other Brassavolas and they do great

Yeah, i found that this one doesn't bloom all that much. It's a very vigorous grower but it would just be stubborn. If your other brassavolas do well you probably got a weak plant I'd imagine. Though I do find it's not a prolific bloomer like some of my other hybrids.

Mine are in organic and with my climate of extremely high humidity are not drying out fast enough. I live in Louisiana and even with air conditioning it’s miserably hot and humid.

Chunky bark will probably work well for you. It dries out faster.

You may try adding charcoal too. It helps with managing humidity and keeping pathogens at bay especially fungi.

@@cherylpenn4509 it's a vigorous Brassavola hybrid, they are easy growing. Lots of light also helps :)

Hey you big meanie! 😂😂😂😂😂 just kidding! Bullying that yellow bird! How dare you! 😂😂😂 ok i quit teasin! Those massive beasts are tough! They take along time! Sometimes! I dont blame ya! Im agrivated at mine! Its that huge and WONT BLOOM! Ihave it in such bright light I burnt some tips! Oh well it will bloom or burn up! 😂😂😂 so frustrating when i see a 3 pseudobulbs bloom and my massive mount wont! Ugh 😑 yes been rainy here too! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊

Mine wasn't blooming either 😂 it bloomed once. It just grew like a weed though. Sometimes you just have to be a little wreckless 😂😂😂😂

@Nicole Deanna I was wreckers with my Enanthleya Middleburg, MAJ cause it wasn't blooming! Chopped it up and BAM, blooms! Maybe I should Chop up my mount! It was a gift from Bobby Jeffries. Hate to part with it completely.

Fragrance is important😌🙏💞, but there are some orchids with no fragrance and beautiful flowers. I enjoyed watching🤲🌟
