RIP Kirill Pokrovsky, your musical talents will be sorely missed.

when did he pass? this is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time
@lintonthepenguin8 жыл бұрын
He passed last year - that's why the soundtrack for Divinity: Original Sin was so short compared to the previous Divinity games - he was unable to write as much music due to his ill health.

Stay in the light, don't wander this time. Light will set you free like the truth will. Kirill always brought the spiritual message with him, to unite and create songs till end of times for divine divinity. While we are in the sickest times ever in history , we need to stand strong. For the love of creation, and the pureness of kirill. He would wanted that way

Recently started playing Divine Divinity and so far what a great game! I'm a lvl. 7 Warrior still in Aleroth, just finished the catacombs. On ambience and music - Those catacombs were bleak, that one particular scream you hear every now an then is seriously one of the scariest sounds I've heard in a game especially considering the age of this title. The music and ambience are amazing so far, as bleak as the game can be it's the witty banter and excellent writing you find in books/letters and NPCs that keeps everything balanced. Looking forward to my journey with this game, and to anyone out there who has yet to play this, if you like RPGs and do not mind isometric/top down classic cRPGs like Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment and Fallout 1 & 2, you'll love Divine Divinity!

How I miss DD. Don't get me wrong, I've bought the game a number of times, to make sure I have a copy (or five) but I still miss the impact from that first play through. The anger I felt when one foe said "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day" and fled, man I was furious for days at Larian for that one and I still haven't forgiven them for that one I think. The smug joy when I beat the enemies. That compelling urge to find out what happened. Story telling at it's finest. And this hauntingly beautiful tunes to set the ambience just right. This is honestly a masterpiece.

@Zeebats3 жыл бұрын
we will meet him again, his music will live further. His message is heard. Divine divinity is real, heaven on earth. Thats what Kirill wanted to bring with his music. To connect deeper to the divine, we are god, i am god, you are god,together we are god. There is no death, he is back where we all came from. the mainframe called heaven. His music was composed by him and his guiding angels. He was born with the talent to spoke words in music some even couldnt write on paper. Funny how music does alot more than words, it can describe ANYTHING :) .
