All things in creation has a beginning, even time. But all things has a Source; God Almighty! Our God alone is the definition of "Eternity". We will be carried in God's loving eternity, because 'death is swallowed up in victory' and 'God will be all in all'. All things will be summed up in Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior and God. Glory unto Him! Thanks for this video. God bless you!

Most of my work is as a voice for commercials and audiobooks, so there aren't any movies or guest appearances on TV that I could send you to other than a commercial for Puffs Tissues where I'm the voice - kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5yqYmhmmd53b7s. Other than that, you can find my videos by going to KZbin and putting in George W. Sarris. Then click on my picture and go to Videos. God bless.

If eternal doesn't mean everlasting, forever, then what would the word eternal mean in John 3:16? Does that mean we don't have eternal, forever life if "whosoever believes"?
@GeorgeWSarris
@GeorgeWSarris 4 ай бұрын
That is a very important question, for sure. Here is a section about that from my book, : "The Greek New Testament makes it very clear that those who are in Christ will live in heaven forever. But it doesn’t teach that truth with the word translated as forever. For example, when a group of religious leaders tried to trap Him, Jesus explained very clearly that the children of the resurrection are God’s children who will Similarly, when Jesus tells His followers that He is the Good Shepherd, He assures them that His sheep hear His voice and will -- “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall ; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; .” When standing in front of Lazarus’ tomb, Jesus comforted the dead man’s sister, Martha, by telling her that those who believe in Him will . In a truly powerful statement in the book of Romans, Paul explains that we are more than conquerors in Christ. In fact, “. . . neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” In I Corinthians 15:42, Paul tells his readers that the resurrection body is . He explains a few verses later that the mortal will be clothed with . For Paul, all of this is based on the guaranteed fact that Christ has been raised from the dead, and in Him all will be made alive. Peter also talks of an life kept in heaven for us that can . He goes on to tell us that when the Chief Shepherd appears, we will receive a crown of glory that will Do those who put their faith in the finished work of Christ have what we call eternal life? The answer is yes. But it’s clear from passages that do not use the word forever. We tend to think of eternal life as simply being endless because that’s what the words mean to us in our language today. But that’s not what they really mean in the Bible. The true focus of the eternal life we have in Christ is much broader and grander than just a long period of time. The phrase that is generally translated eternal life or everlasting life in our English Bibles occurs 42 times in the New Testament. It primarily means a life which belongs to God. It’s a different quality of life from our old existence which is characterized by hate, lack of love, sin, pain and death. It’s living with the supernatural life of God in us. And, contrary to what many people think, eternal life does not begin in the future. It’s not something that only relates to the ages to come. It’s already the possession of those who have entered into a relationship with Christ. Jesus said, “whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me eternal life.” In John 3:36, we read, “Whoever believes in the Son eternal life.” Again in John 6:47, “I tell you the truth, he who believes everlasting life.” And in John 6:54, “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood eternal life.” Jesus said the Father’s command eternal life in John 12:50. “And I know that His commandment life everlasting.” God is not limited by time. He is the God who works out His plan through the ages of time. Biblical scholar Marvin Vincent writes, “God transcends time; works on different principles and on a vaster scale than the wisdom of time provides; oversteps the conditions and the motives of time; marshals the successive [ages] from a point outside of time, on lines which run out into his own measureless cycles, and for sublime moral ends which the creature of threescore and ten years cannot grasp and does not even suspect.” Eternal life is not only something we will have. Eternal life is something we now have!" I hope this is helpful. God bless!

They whomever fall away after they have tasted of the heavenly gift and the powers of the world to come, it is impossible for them to be brought to repentance in this age that is. Of course they will ultimately be restored as will the rest of creation in their own time, but they cannot be saved and escape what is called the second death. They will be judged with the sinners.

@@GeorgeWSarris @George W. Sarris Thank you so much Mr. Sarris. My name is Jeff Ray. I love your reading/narration of the NIV Bible. I purchased several copies and we donated some. I also got some "Daily Meditation" audio bible players which contain your reading. It's my favorite audio Bible, and I have heard very, very many. My dad and I have several copies of your book, Heaven's Doors: Wider Than You Ever Believed! and it so helpful in explaining God's divine correction for the purpose of restoration. @@user-un8qc6ye1v Jeff, thank you for those very kind and very encouraging words! And thank you for your prayers. They are greatly appreciated. By the way, have you seen the booklet I recently published - How Wide Are Heaven's Doors? It's basically the presentation on this video with the addition of some information about the Early Church. I put it together as something that outlines the basic argument for ultimate restoration in a short and easy to read format that can be given away to people who have never heard a credible argument about restoration. Greetings! Whilst watching I was looking up the Scriptures posted. I think there may be an error at 9:07 minutes? Quoted on screen Matthew 24:4 which says "Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you deceiving you and leading you into error." I had to laugh at the actual verse... Hope you appreciate the humour given the nature of the discussion! Matthew 24:3 is the verse you reference not 4. Not sure what I think but thank you for the information. God bless!

By the way, you mentioned that you're not sure what you think about this. Have you read my book Heaven's Doors . . . Wider Than You Ever Believed! or the shorter booklet? I was following along and somewhat in agreement until you mentioned Hades and making it legit. No, my friend, hell NOR Hades belong in scripture. Lazarus was in "unseen" and unseen does not mean Hades, but instead it defines an underworld that most Jews didn't believe in and also is the name for a false pagan Greek god. By endorsing the word Hades, scholars are saying that Jesus would use a Greek word that represented a pagan belief of another god and his kingdom while talking to Jew who didn't believe in such things and who mostly spoke Hebrew and Aramaic instead of Greek. The word Hades does not add up.

@GeorgeWSarris 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate your sharing them with me. Regardless of the meaning of the word, Luke and John use the word hades in the Greek text of Luke and Revelation. The point I was making is that those in that "unseen" place are not there forever. God bless.
@TheWhyGuyChannel
@TheWhyGuyChannel 3 жыл бұрын
@@GeorgeWSarris Sorry for the length of this reply. Yes, your point of forever is valid of course, but just because an erroneous word was used in the Greek text doesn't make it valid. If the word Hades wasn't used to replace the word Sheol in the Greek Septuagint, I highly doubt it would have found it's place in the N.T. My point... at the time the Septuagint was written, to unify the populace, a decree was issued by the Greek government that required everyone to adhere to the mythology of Zeus, Apollo, Hades etc. This caused a civil war with the Jews (Maccabee war). It is my belief that a compromise was made by substituting the word Sheol for Hades, thus incorporating a pagan religion into Judaism. Since the non Jews were forced to adhere to the decree, the Jew should be as well, thus the word Hades became a compromise in the minds of the populace-IMO. The root meaning of Hades, along with history and culture tells me that Hades does not belong in scripture... no more than the pagan Latin word infernum (hell). You ask the common believer what Hades represents and just about everyone will say hell, so by promoting Hades, you're promoting hell in the minds of most people. You're simply substituting one pagan belief for another, and shooting yourself in the foot and subconsciously slandering the good news message in doing so. I know it's going to take a lot of rethinking to consider what I've just written here, and I understand. I believed the same as you for over 35 years. Bless you my brother and keep sharing, and I will do as well.
