Was St. Patrick a real person, and if so, who was he? Did he really use a shamrock, get snakes to leave Ireland, and convert the whole country? Join Fr. Chris Alar as he separates fact from fiction and tells you what we need to know about this important saint and what St. Patrick's Day is really all about.

Thank you very much, Fr Chris especially for requesting prayers for Ireland, I see everyday how the Irish Catholics have turned their backs on the faith and even those in my family, I pray everyday and at everymass, Adoration and Divive Mercy I attend to return them to the faith and I know God is listening, I had turned my back on my faith for a number of years and thank God I've returned more fervently than ever before. I also saw your video of Father Chris in Ireland and I'm not really sure how it was suggested as a video to watch because I wasn't subscribed to your channel unless you had some tags with Father Chris Alar. I grew up in Boston and my grandmother came here in 1929 at the age of 19 from Ireland. She was from Inagh, County Clare and lived in a village called Maurices Mills. I've been keeping tabs on Ireland myself and I follow Father Luke DeMasi from Servant Priests and Brothers who's actually from New Hampshire as well as others. I will keep Ireland in my prayers. Thank you Fr. Chris. I am of Irish decent, took my children to Ireland in 1999. What a beautiful experience and what beautiful loving people we encountered. Definitely will keep all the Irish in my prayers. I read that George Zores funded political campaigns to get the politicians placed so that Ireland could be transformed. He sited that I. Order for the Great Reset to take place that Ireland needed to turn away from the Church because by being Catholic it would resist and the plan could not go forward. I feel that, just as the wokness kept into America without us realizing it that the same thing happened to Ireland, but large numbers are desperately trying to hold onto their faith. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻s for Ireland and the USA😊

Father Chris, Blessings from Ireland. Thank you so much for this talk & and such in-depth research as always. The abortion referendum results in Ireland is what brought me back to my Faith. Back in 2019, I sat in an empty Church in the afternoon of March 17th as I had felt an urge to keep our Lord company while many were ‘wetting the Shamrock’ as usual that day. As I sat looking at a picture of St. Patrick, musing over his life here in Ireland, it dawned on me right there that St. Patrick didn’t banish the snakes from Ireland. My eyes were drawn to look at the Tabernacle, crying in my heart to Jesus at the mess my Country was in. I felt Him say to me; “Patrick banished the serpents... THE serpent, and Ireland opened up a portal to the gates of hell when her people voted for abortion.... but don’t worry, I’m in charge and I’m going to fix everything”. I felt such a deep inner peace and total Trust In Jesus right there & then. God bless you Fr. Chris & the Marians and all you do for our Almighty God. Thank you for the prayers for Ireland.

I was very recently facing some spiritual warfare from within my family. I knew I needed extra spiritual strength and protection, and it occurred to me to pray St. Patrick's Breastplate prayer. I'm not Irish and this isn't part of my regular spiritual practice, but I've seen and heard of this powerful prayer. The situation improved after I began praying the Breastplate prayer shortly after arising each day. I had not even thought of St. Patrick's Day approaching, and then I saw this great Fr. Chris video. The timing gave me chills, in the best possible way! I believe the Holy Spirit led me to this prayer, and that St. Patrick powerfully interceded for me. I will continue to pray this and for St. Patrick's intercession, and especially for Ireland. Thank you, Holy Spirit, St. Patrick, and Fr. Chris! May God bless and protect you, and St. Patrick pray for your own greatly needed ministry! I believe you and the Marians are helping to drive out the snakes all over the world!

My goodness Father Chris, you did it again. Every week I think “this is the best talk ever.” And once again you were on fire, which is evidence of how deeply affected you were by your recent trip to Ireland and becoming informed first hand of the pain of the Irish people. This lesson was amazing. I lived in Boston, my whole life, and just about everything you spoke about, was brand-new information for me; I’ve already shared the video on my Facebook page and to my non-Facebook, friends and family. I was having the slightest bit of difficulty distinguishing you from St Patrick when you were speaking about him because you personally share so many of his sterling and holy qualities, and that is no Blarney. ☘️🇮🇹🍀 Father Chris, You piqued my curiosity. You mentioned an Irish Cathedral tour Is your fall return to Ireland. going to be a pilgrimage? Thank you once again Fr Chris for this beautiful talk and for always mentioning the Filipinos🥰. I have watched this last night as I was washing dishes. I only knew that there is a St. Patrick until this talk. And it is quite providential that I came to know him on the eve of his feast day. I remembered asking for intentions from saints who are our friends in heaven. St. Patrick reached out to me last night thru your talk Fr. Chris. Thanks God. St. Patrick, pray for us and for the whole world.

Many people think it would be great to become a missionary to some far-off land. They often overlook those they could minister to in their own communities, and they feel they can't take time away from their daily life to be that missionary at any distance that would require them to leave their job. Yet, St. Patrick had an interesting mix of the two. He returned to where he was previously enslaved. So in some sense, it was like he ministered to those in his own community, because he had lived there. Yet, he did have to travel to get to them.

I’m not certain, but if I remember correctly, that is something that Saint JohnPaul taught about evangelization. Also, one other time I heard it said, be the person that you want others to be.. I have a lot of words floating around in my head, but I can’t remember where I heard them but that is the idea when you said a good example, you never know who’s watching and desiring to emulate you.

Father Chris I have a friend he’s a monk and a priest for almost 45, I spoke to him about you and how much I love listening to ur teachings, he said they don’t watch KZbin because of the strict rules at the monastery, but he said if he teaches forgiveness and penance than listen to him. I said father Chris always speaks of forgiveness and penance. He comes from the order of the Magnificat of the mother of God, requested by by the most blessed Virgin herself, at la salette, France in 1846. I have watched one of your episode also talking about la salette. 🙏❤️ God bless you father Chris.

I loved this talk so much! I needed this. Being from Ireland, it made me very proud of the beautiful island and her people. Pray for Ireland, pray they return to the church. On a positive note, although many modern folks no longer attend church as religiously as the used to, the core belief in Christ remains very, very high. Some 70% still believe in Christ and his teachings. Christ be with you all ❤️‍🔥

@@alwaysmisskaryn it really is amazing! What’s incredible is, i didn’t follow or ever watch any Catholic videos whatsoever and one day Fr. Chris popped up as a recommended video. I watched it and then watched the next one that popped up and continued to binge watch all his talks! That was in December. Fast forward a few months and i am now in the process of being baptized (apparently my Pentecostal baptism was invalid) and I’m convinced Catholicism is the one and only true church, given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ! GOD works in mysterious ways and is definitely using the Marian helpers as vessels!!

I am actually in Ireland at the moment. I’m here for two weeks, playing Irish music and taking a lot of photographs and vlogging. It is such a holy place.. my first time back since December 2019. Once this place gets in your soul, you can’t stay away. I didn’t plan it on purpose but I guess I’m going to be here for St. Patrick’s Day. Should be interesting. Thank you for this video. @@DivineMercy_Official and yes, St Patricks Day in Ireland was very interesting. It was definitely more about Saint Patrick and less about the beer, and the two pubs where I played music were fun, not like the US where you can't even get in the door for the drunks, let alone get a seat at the table to play. I never leave my house on St Patrick's Day in the US, but it was fun in Ennis.

Thank you for your beautiful message Fr Chris. Although I am not a Catholic, have worshipped together with Catholics many times in my life, I love Our Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind body and soul. I was born in England, lived in South Africa most of my life but have ended up living in Northern Ireland for the last 10 years, strange thing is that I did not move here intentionally but by pure chance. I understand 100 percent how magnetic Ireland is, I never had a notion in my life that I would ever be living here but my soul has never felt more settled living here, on the Ireland of Ireland, Perhaps we will meet one day, who knows. I live in Portadown Northern Ireland
