Deeply grateful for your homily, Fr. Matthew, that opens our minds and hearts to reflect God’s unfathomable love and mercy for us. In Jesus’ life and His death, we are so nourished body and soul, and nothing is lacking. What’s lacking is our response of endless gratitude and our slowness to act on our own with humility, simplicity and childlike trust. Yet, Jesus’ patience is without limit, for He continues to draw us close to Him with open hearts no matter how long we linger on the way to our salvation. When He says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” - What more do we need and what are we still waiting for?

Fabulous homily Fr Matthew. I think we all have a bit of Saint Augustine in us if we are honest with ourselves. I offered this mass for those who are suffering in the California fires, with the loss of their homes those who are charged with keeping others safe and for safety of all of the residents of the area and a boatload of personal intentions for my loved ones: for health, for employment, for inner peace which is only achieved through union with God.
