Thank you, Father David for relating the inspiring story of Pauline. It brought to mind a College friend who shares that same surname. Pauline’s story can be any of our stories right? I have no doubt that it was all of my late mother’s Wednesday Novena visits for most of her life to the Basilica of our Mother of Perpetual Help on Mission Hill, that has brought me to where I am in my journey to heaven with THE amazing help of the Marian Fathers. Did I get a sign from heaven? absolutely. When I worked for the Boston Public Schools out of more than 100 Schools in the city, my final assignment in 2011 was the Tobin School on Mission Hill right next door to the Basilica. Thanks be to God, returning to my Catholic faith is a wonderful thing...I take my worries to the cross. I got into Steiner and The White Eagle Lodge over the years, buying most of their books and was afraid of scripture (I even bought a copy of Science and Health by Baker Eddy years back). Most recently I felt I needed a woman to go to in prayer and was alarmed by stuff on KZbin, 'invoking Mary Magdalene...' and I reached for my Great Grandmother's rosary beads which must be at least a hundred years old. I had the sense that the Blessed Mother was only too happy to come to me but it wasn't long before she was leading me to her son like a proud Mother.
