Love your videos Colin, being a sea fisherman, it always amazes me just how many awesome species there are in our inshore waters.

Colin Middleton Thank you... it always delights me the beautiful colours of the plants and animals that reside in our UK waters. We see so much on TV of the colourful marine life abroad that it is a pleasure to share what we have on our doorstep.

What part of the cove is this taken? I'm interested in going diving in this area, too, as it looks full of life
@ColinGarrettUnderwater Жыл бұрын
This compilation was filmed all around Newtons Cove. I normally head straight out from the steps to the yellow posts... then just choose to go either North or South.

@Colin Garrett thanks that's really helpful is their any specific time when it's good to look for the creatures, or does it vary

@@jakobyt6213 I say to everyone, it is very barren in the day but much better as a night dive.

I go fishing along that coast and others. Do you think you could ever fence off an area (or ask people not to cast) and pull out all the giant clumps of snags/ tackle in some of these places?
@ColinGarrettUnderwater3 жыл бұрын
We do pick up rubbish and tackle on some of our dives, but in all honesty it is a never ending battle. Monofilament line is a nightmare underwater and very destructive to marine life sadly.

@@ColinGarrettUnderwater you could set up a business with the council...argue to be a specialist clean-up crew and get paid to go diving.

Plastic on the sea floor or shells
@ColinGarrettUnderwater3 жыл бұрын
Shells and stones, however Newton’s Cove does have a fair amount of rubbish... just like most places we dive at.
