The earliest recorded diving competition took place in 1871 at the London Bridge. The flexibility of the diving board allows the diver to execute complex maneuvers before entering the water.

This appears to be the backyard pool (non professional competition green Duraflex) type diving boards. - Where was this production/factory located? Is there a great demand for new diving boards to be made daily? (like at a typical production/manufacturing factory?) - Since the late 70s, most backyard pools would not have a diving board (due to crazy homeowners insurance costs, & shallowness of most recreational pools only being at most 9 feet deep)

I used to wonder what material can bend to different measures but won’t break ....my first guess was steaming/boiling wood so it can bend but never would I wonder it being this process

The grain is running the same direction with those laminated pieces...........Plywood usually alternates 90 degrees between layers and sometimes better grade plywood can have layers with more angles than that.

they aren't impregnated with resin apparently, those ones played it safe in the factory and left an air pocket in them
