DIVING CRAYFISH - GARLIC, BUTTER and LEMON CATCH COOK on the ROCKS

This episode is a trip down memory lane diving WEST COAST LOBSTER and doing a catch cook in the old traditional style and the family sit around a table. Telling old stories having a glass of wine and laughing till you cry.
Me and Evan made a quick trip down to the West Coast because the crayfish season opened and we were not disappointment. The first day we struggled as we were not use to the ice cold water and scratching in shallow water for the bugs.
After me managed to get use to the cold water we got a couple of crayfish and went home to experience the hospitality of the wonderful West Coast locals. Thank you so much Pierre and Jacques for everything. We had a total blast of a time.

Hi - new viewer here - Question...why don't you use the measuring tool you get for crayfish and perlemoen? Must be difficult to check with those gloves on, even if you are an experienced diver?

We do use one juat before we go out but that is just to make 100% sure they are size. Our size estimates are pretty spot on

Is butter too expensive.? Olive oil was ridiculously expensive. When i was last there. The greeks use garlic...fresh cut. Plus lemon freshly squeezed from a fruit and olive oil grilled Much nicer. But at 1800 rand for one whole crayfish in a restaurant
