You learn how to do it and the spring board will already launch you far enough to not hit your head, the platform on the other hand, you need to jump backwards and you won’t hit your head unless you jump straight up. You can hit your head while spinning, but only once.

Qiu Bo was really amazing, and only a couple of points separated him from gold medal. I understand his pain. This is how asian people are taught - they want *perfection* , nothing less, nothing more. And that is why it's almost impossible to compete with them.

It’s just all the emotions of the competition. I’m sure he moved on after but this is right after the competition. His emotions are perfectly understandable

I think the dive #5 was not scored fairly, when Boudia had a bad entry into the water. Nowadays it would be scored less than 7.5. Anyway, the judges were pretty generous in this game overall, especially for Daley's dives. His problem was technical difficulty, just not as competitive.

@@nicolechisholm9871 I disagree. You can literally see him immediately when he gets out of the pool make the motion with his hands and the replay shows at least eight flashes that I counted directly even with his eyes. He has more people in that crowd trying to snap pictures of him mid air than anyone else by multiples. I thought it was the right decision. No I'm not English, I could care less about Tom Daley personally.

Cameras shouldn’t be allowed , otherwise this happens to every diver but the rest don’t have a chance for a second dive

Is it just me who had to turn the volume all the way up on this to be able to hear it with headphones
