Hi, a fellow lore nerd here. First of all, English is not my first language so I apologize for any mistakes. I love your channel, been subscribed for a while and I realize that you're already doing god's work when it comes to these videos. However, I found this one somewhat vague since Aetera shares very much input on the "weapon" when you talk to her as Fane. Through her dialouge you can deduce she was commissioned to craft the wand by the God King during the Seven's rebellion, the "war" she mentions. She explicitly states the weapon was supposed to be able to ''kill the gods" but she never got to use it because the Seven chased her to the vault and imprisoned her, then probably threw the rest of Eternals to the void. Maybe she just never got the chance to dip her feet in the source pool before she got sealed away? Dallis makes it seem like its a trivial feat to use the weapon but I'd like to think thats for pacing reasons during an act finale. If the scene was set up differently I could see that whole source draining to be a much more involved process akin to malady's hall of echoes teleport but it wouldnt have made sense for gameplay or pacing if we cant actually influence the outcome At the end of the day though it certainly is a macguffin like you implied.

I just cannot get into this game and I put over 30 hours into it during my first effort. I just uninstalled it yet again today after making a death knight and making it off the ship.
