I think I was still on board the starting ship at that point 😅 (just started playing with my friend, now at act 2). Had some difficulties in wreckers cave though & messed up the scripted event with my scoundrel...

I like how it goes so fast, and so broken, that it doesn't even spoil the game. Someone who had never played the game could watch this whole run and have almost nothing spoiled about the game

I love how this is a mix of speed strats and actually very smart ideas that make a lot of sense (throwing a lot of weight at ennemies to damage them, moving around with pyramids, using death fog containers as assassination methods...) A lot of those abuses are in the spirit of the game tbh =o

Oh 100%. There is a secret achievement for "killing" Dallis right at the start of the fort and it's done using smart spell usage and weight!

Finished driftwood after 98 hours of steam time because during fort joy I wasn't happy with my set up and even though I knew I could re spec at the ship I was still ways away, so I restarted the game After that I put it on hold for half a years since I was burnt out after playing D:OS 1&2 back to back Came back recently and restarted again since I Forgot a lot of stuff Had in total 200+ hours on steam before I completed my first run, now on honour mode

i liked the older strat of having fane give another npc an extra turn and they solo a final fight.

even with out glitching the nameless island is the most easy area to bypass as all you need is to play as an elf or have sibelle and spoilers just eat alexander's head and you get the combination to the temple.

I don't really understand the rules on when a speedrun starts. For some games the timer starts with the beginning of character creation and for others it starts after character creation.

Each community decides seperately but usually it goes based on when runner skill and input can actually change the timings. If everyone makes the same build the run might as well start after that for everyone to save the same amount of seconds instead of having an early reset point if you missclick a menu. It just depends.
