The role of the DPS player is to deal damage to enemies while the Support or Tank Build take the focus of the enemies.
The Striker Build is most effective from playing in cover and shooting from cover positions. It deals good damage to enemies in missions and open world. Most players gravitate to this build because it is a simple and easy high-damage build. There is nothing wrong with this build, but I do believe there are better options.
This build is crafted specifically for easy target-farming. These pieces drop everywhere all the time so you can create it quickly.
Gunner Specialisation: Switch to this specialisation when you have a complete DPS Build farmed. This specialisation makes every third reload 50% faster, killing enemies grants 10% armour on kill and killing multiple enemies without releasing the trigger adds 3 to the ammo bar, excluding the specialised weapon (which is the mini gun in this build).
The Gunner Specialisation grants you the Riot Foam Grenade. It ensnares enemies. You don’t have to farm for this piece. It comes with the specialisation.
Famas 210 Assault Rifle is the primary weapon. This weapon deals great weapon damage and weapon handling and has as a solid RPM rate. Farm in targeted loot allocation areas, countdown and/ or summit.
Lefty Shot Gun as your secondary weapon. The Lefty is to generate the stacks of the striker. Once you have the stacks, you switch to your primary, which deals the damage.
Gear: 6 Pieces
- Striker’s Battle gear: 4 pieces
- Overlord Armaments: 1 piece
- Brazos de Arcabuz: 1 piece
STRIKER’S BATTLEGEAR EXPLAINED:
You must have the chess piece talent Press the Advantage “Increases max stacks for Striker’s Gamble (the 4-piece bonus) from 100 to 200.”
You must have the backpack talent Risk Management “Increases total weapon damage gained per stack of Striker’s Gamble from 0.65% to 1%.”
You must have the face mask (The Striker’s Mask) The mask doesn’t do anything specifically; it just activates the Striker’s Gamble.
You must have the gloves (Striker’s Gloves) Same with the gloves.
Utilising both the backpack and chess piece is the best way to get the most out of Striker’s Gamble bonus. There are other versions of this build out there, but as a new player coming in, this is the easiest and most simple way to create a DPS build by target-farming in 5 minutes. For example, The Coyote’s Mask is an exotic, which means it takes time to farm.
OVERLORD ARMAMENTS EXPLAINED:
The Overlord Armament brand set grants you 10% rifle damage. This benefit is wasted on a Striker Build, but because you have the Fox’s Prayer Kneepads, you are granted 8% multiplicative attribute damage to a target which is out of cover.
Multiplicative damage means damage from all sources; it includes grenades, skills and weapons.
BRAZOS DE ARCABUZ EXPLAINED:
The Brazos De Arcabuz brand set grants you 10% skill haste. This benefit is wasted on a Striker Build because it’s designed for a Skill Build. But when you have a Picaro’s Holster, you get 15% multiplicative damage. This means you now have 23% multiplicative damage applied to all your gear and weapons.
