Today's wealthy class 1 percent seems to be following the same path, focusing on their own interests rather than addressing the needs of the broader population. This neglect has serious consequences: skyrocketing housing prices prevent many from owning homes, longer work hours and precarious jobs strain people's lives, and private health insurance costs add to the burden, leaving little time for family and contributing to declining birth rates. Politicians, influenced by wealthy supporters, are failing to address these critical issues, leading to widespread dissatisfaction. With the middle class eroded, far-right movements are gaining traction. History shows that when the wealthy ignore societal problems, it often leads to turmoil. Is another revolution on the horizon to correct these imbalances?

As a species our behaviors in all of our affairs are dictated by our Genes, just like all other animals. Watch DOCS on other species. perhaps predators as we are the top Preditor in this planet. Maybe I am reading into what she was saying the wrong way but why does she need to emphasize political violence in Germany? Not denying anything but it seems fairly off topic and almost devalues her statements. Political violence in Germany is also not on the same scale as the US, especially with the not very restrictive gunlaws in the US, political violence in the US can escalate very quickly.

The country has literally been divided in two about 100 to 200 years ago so not surprising really.

It was divided at its founding. Slavery was the issue at the onset, through the civil war. In retrospect, the south did win the civil war. With the union pacifying them to bring them back into the fold, not a thing was learned, but to make their move politically. They have succeeded. The rest are to worried about their monetary gains and not their jobs of looking out for the country. The USA as we knew it is doomed.
