I said to a close friend before I was divorced that God is going to wait to release my blessings once he is gone. It’s been 3.5 years but he’s coming back taking me to court. And while we were married, I cooked 6 days a week, spent all Saturday mornings ironing his work clothes for the week. I only went to work and church because I obey God and there are places I can’t go nor do I want to go. And my ex husband hated me for choosing to be obedient to God. This is true. I have seen this happen, just this week. People are switching up on me. “Why did you switch?” “That’s your new crew.” “They don’t do anything.” “Oh? You’re taking up for them now?!” I’m sitting here feeling bad, like did I do something wrong? All I did was take up a promotion. Just like they do. All of sudden I’m the bad guy. They expect me to sow for them while they reap the benefits of my hard work. They hate the fact I’ve gotten acknowledgment from people in high places, while they’re still where they were a year ago. It’s ridiculous seeing the same people you used to hang with and socialize with, tell you “I’m gonna miss you because all that stuff falls on me now.” Like, what?😔 almost disheartening. Then I remembered, I actually deserved this. They did not. Because the truth is, I cannot elevate with them around. They feel “left behind.” But I did this for my happiness, not for their comfort.

Yes, this is happening in my life right now. I’m just laying here crying. God showed me a demon in my ex last March.
