Built for the Future by Ways of the Past
Located in Spokane, Washington since 1915, using processes that date back to the mid 1800's, White’s Boots has been producing some of the finest logging and outdoor boots in the world for well over a century. Their patently preserved hand-sewn stitchdown construction, is a legacy they uniquely maintain. This original method of hand welting and using Rapid E Stitchdown combines with an all-leather build to create footwear that drastically and effectively conforms to the foot for a lifetime of endurance in the harshest conditions.
While many makers will adapt construction materials and techniques in order to either capture more of the lifestyle market, or to cut production costs in the face of compressed margins, White’s has remained true to their traditions that have been tested for decades by fire fighters and loggers to provide more than enough reason to stay true to this old-world construction type. Using the same patterns from the early part of the 20th century, each boot is hand-lasted, hand-welted, and hand-bottomed by master bootmakers in productions that involve more than 25 unique handgrade steps.
This rare hand welting and stitchdown construction is essential to White’s legacy in maintaining a skill set that is as physically demanding as it is technical to provide a durable, fully rebuildable lifetime boot and has made them a international icon and legend in the work boot and heritage collectors’ market. White’s even warrantees the product from any defects within the first year, still offer full rebuilds even in replacing portions of the upper and re-lasting, to remain one of the few remaining full-service makers. Simply, purchasing a White’s hand-sewn stitchdown boot is stepping into a long history of craft, dedication, and old-world quality that is increasingly rare and enduringly valuable.
3-2-1 CXL Wax Pack
In conjunction with the launch of this featured tour, we’ve elevated some styles for lift-off from the factory floor. Calling the White’s x Division Road 3-2-1 CXL Wax Pack that is comprised of three unique styles and patterns, in two signature Horween tannages employed over three different leathers, in two-tone and single hide make-ups. This Pack utilizes variations on Horween’s original Chromexcel recipe developed from a nearly century-old secret of techniques, materials and finishes, known for its natural character, comfort, and durability.
Waxed Flesh is an enhancement of the military spec Natural CXL, technically Marine Field Leather, that’s designed to be used on the reversed roughout side and receives a dyed and hardened wax application in tanning. Designed for patina as much as protection, the Waxed Flesh eventually reveals the sand colored nap below the surface through scuffs and heavy exposure. Going to the Natural CXL baseline of this collection, that is an un-dyed version of this famous combination chrome and vegetable re-tannage to yield a balance between grain consistency and character, flexibility and patina potential, to be an all-around high grade utilitarian leather with a great finish that renews itself while developing subtle, yet distinct markings.
All three White’s collaborations come with our signature and exclusive Division Road specifications on the hallmark 55 Last that fits a wide variety of feet that pair with the White’s DNA of the highest grade traditional hand-welt stitchdown workboot build for standout styling on mountain tops, hog riding, or just straight up stout boot wearing. The Cinnamon Waxed Flesh & Natural CXL 375 LLT Logger, Black Waxed Flesh 375 Semi-Dress, and low-top Black Waxed Flesh & Natural CXL 300 Oxford are battle-ready as individuals, but unified within a collectable Chromexcel corp.

Great vid and wonderful boots. You notice the quality of a good pair of boots at 8o'clock at night sitting in your shelter boots off comfortable in dry socks after all day in puddles, wet grass, slush and snow ! Call me weird but good boots, a handmade knife on a handmade belt, quality canvas or leather backpack and my dog sharing the load with his canvas and leather jacket saddlebags floats my boat ! May the craftsmen ( and women ) carry on forever !😎👍

Great video . Ive been wearing Whites since I bought my first pair 50 years ago , working as a lineman in the Colorado Rockies between Aspen and Vale . Some of the hardest work in the world in rough terrain . Nothing but White's could stand up to that abuse . Have always had a pair of their boots . Wearing a pointed toe packer now that's been rebuilt twice and should last the rest of my life . Yep kids that how America used to work , build long lasting quality product that last .

I still have that first pair… You could sent then to whites from anywhere in the world they would fix them or make you a new pair then send em back, whether up in north Alaska or western Ireland my boots always came back like new.. glad to see whites still operating

My only problem with my Packers is the stitching on the bottom of the sole is not sunk in so it wears out crazy fast. They need to cut a groove around the rim of the sole and put the stitching in that. It's simple to do and makes the stitching last years longer.

So the suturing under is directly exposed when you’re walking. That’s basically asking for it to be cut or damaged making it not last long since it is the main thing that holds it together and not the glue.
@TheSynchronizer

that's a McKay lock stitch construction, even when the threads that are visible wear out, it is still pinned in place at the rubber. If you look at rebuilt boots you'll see that the mckay stitch is still visible despite the rubber tread being completely gone.

Your Hillyard model could easily be made for tactical use if you used a rubber channeled insole, polymer shank, urethane foam filler, rubber midsole stormwelted and a vibram 121P or 122P Foura outsole in Coyote color please. Also consider making a lace to toe boot like the Bellevile C775 with the formentioned construction. Also please remember to leave room for a removable insole by using a leather one during the lasting process like Nicks do.
@8oichi
@8oichi Жыл бұрын
i dont see whites ever filling their boots with low quality synthetic materials that fall apart after 1yr. thats how the cheapest lowest quality boots are built. bellevilles last a yr and u buy a new pair , whites are resolable and far more durable that about 95% of any tac boots as well as more waterproof. the only thing they arent doing is the practically nonexistent drop thats in bellevilles and some other tac boots , however whites arent built to be a barefoot boot
