Thank you all for the amazing support! FYI: if you buy/bought the Division V3.1 CAD it includes the latest version of the drive mount I showed at the end on camera, not the one Lynx killed. Also, I just realized I forgot to add chapter timestamps when I first uploaded and have now done so.

Seemed like even the house robot lost to the battery too - so currently the battery is on a 2-0 winning streak. 3-0 if you count it killing Fully Defined in the first place lol 😂

-I do like how much into this the Brazilians get when robot fighting, then immediately all hugs and hi fives after the match, lovely bunch looks like from this end. -I feel a bit sorry for Fully Defined, two bad batteries make you lose, ow, i wanna give them a hug, from a safe distance. -Spartan was a fun fight, quite competent as control bot-ish even without weapon, heh. Tough thing. -I wonder how much force went through division when he launched Lynx like that! - It's fine to take a little break, Remember to take care of yourself!

Congratulations on the performance this tournament! I have been watching your videos for over a year ever since one popped into my recommended. It has been awesome to watch you develop your designs and driving to address limitations one by one. I imagine your lessons learned list is quite exhaustive by now. I'm sure it has! I'll need to make sure ground clearance is less of a problem in the future. Though getting hung up against the walls was equally problematic.

Have you ever seriously considered more enclosed wheels? Seems like division just doesn't take advantage of many of the usual benefits of larger exposed wheels (them extending above, below, and behind, or being big/foam/solid rubber and able to take hits)

The wheels themselves survived hits from every opponent I have faced this year pretty well. It's only the drive mounts that were the weak link against Lynx, and almost nothing hits harder than Lynx. Also foam doesn't take hits well either, it gets chunks taken out, and has way worse grip than the urethane tire I am using. I need the wheels exposed at the sides since the gyroscopic tilt forces the bot up on one side while turning as well, so any kind of guard would not offer that much protection if it didn't hamper driving even further.

FYI- you can put the nylock nuts on backwards for 'short' thread situations

I considered this, I may try that as well but it makes it annoying to start the thread. The aluminum nut threads also deformed from that hit so I think I'll need to use steel regardless

i've used on my motorcycle brake caliper mounting bolts after one rattled out and the replacement from home depot was 5mm shorter than OEM, worked great until i got it replaced with an OEM equivalent

Eh. It's got pros and cons. My wheels will keep turning if the tire is damaged but his won't work if any sizable chunks are removed from the outer diameter. I'm redesigning my hubs since the tire was stripping away though and I'm likely to try and save a few grams with the new ones.

I just don't remember seeing that happen to tires as often as other failure modes to drive systems, like pinion damage/binding or belts breaking or hub/axle damage that wouldn't occur as much with those kind of wheels that absorb impacts so well. You could also get your ratios down to help drive better and take less damage and deal more damage, maybe the biggest pro.

Seth why don't you guys just make a 250lbs version of Divition instead of Bloodsport? Seems like you do better with a tried and true tested Division so just scale it up! ONE other thing, tell them at NRHL to get a thick sheet of aluminium and use it for the floors. It always seems like the floors just kill what would be a normaly good fight or even fight.

Deep Six was already basically a scaled up Division and was not accepted to compete anymore because of how much damage they did to the arena floor and lights. 😂 Bloodsport is a really solid and tested design as well, and scaling 3lb to 250lb is a hundred times more work

@@JustCuzRobotics Well, Deep-Six just didn't have the expeiriance that you guys do. It should be NO PROBLEM for you. Just don't try to hit the lights...lol

Building a 250lb robot is not 'no problem' for ANYBODY. It's an insane amount of work and requires a lot of time and money I simply do not have. I run a company full time now often working 50-70 hours a week just to do that.

Bloodsport has much of the design work and bulk of assembly done by Justin Marple who is the captain. I spend nights and weekends helping with it but Bloodsport is not primarily my work. If I was the captain I would be doing most of the design work myself and that is easily 1000 hours of work for a heavy.
